VanVleet (knee) is considered questionable to play Wednesday against the Pistons, though coach Dwane Casey intimated that the backup point guard is unlikely to be available, Raptors play-by-play voice Eric Smith reports.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet sustained a contusion to his right knee during Monday's game, and while the issue is nothing serious, it looks as though it'll cost the Wichita State product at least one game. Check back closer to game-time for something more definitive, but if VanVleet is, indeed, held out, Delon Wright would pick up increased minutes off the bench behind Kyle Lowry.

VanVleet, who suffered a bruised knee during Monday's game against the 76ers, underwent additional testing that revealed no structural damage, Eric Koreen of The Athletic Toronto reports. He should be considered questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet has been a staple of the Raptors' rotation, playing reserve point guard to Kyle Lowry and averaging 6.9 points and 2.8 assists across 18.1 minutes per game. If he's sidelined Wednesday, Delon Wright and Lorenzo Brown would seemingly pick up some extra run in the backcourt. More word on VanVleet's status should arrive following morning shootaround.

VanVleet suffered a right knee contusion during Monday's game against the 76ers and will not return.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet suffered the injury in a collision with superstar big man Joel Embiid of the Sixers and immediately limped off the court and went to the locker room. He'll likely undergo additional testing following the game, which should give us a better indication on if he'll miss additional time. For now, consider him questionable for Wednesday's tilt with the Pistons. VanVleet finished Monday's contest with eight points (1-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and two rebounds across 16 minutes.

VanVleet tallied 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 21 minutes in Saturday's 127-125 loss to the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet was a key source of offense on the second unit once again, posting double-digit scoring for the fifth time in seven games. The second-year guard's three-pointer with 3:52 remaining helped cut the Warriors' lead to 116-115, bringing the Raptors to the precipice of overcoming what had been a 27-point deficit at one point. VanVleet has had the hot hand from the field over the last two games, shooting 65.0 percent (13-for-20) -- including 64.3 percent (9-for-14) -- during those contests. While his minutes can still often be in the teens, VanVleet is starting to slowly gain some traction as a source of scoring, three-pointers and shooting percentage in deeper formats.

VanVleet totaled 22 points (8-11 FG, 6-8 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and one steal across 24 minutes during a 133-99 win over the Cavaliers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet 22's points marked a new season high and also a team high in the win. The six three-pointers made was also a season best mark. Even with Kyle Lowry (back) out, VanVleet still received his normal workload, so this performance sort of came out of the blue. However, if Lowry misses any more time, VanVleet could see a slight uptick in minutes.

VanVleet set season-highs in points scored and minutes on Friday, as he tallied 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3PT), five rebounds, four assists and three steals across 29 minutes in a 107-104 loss to the Indiana Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet has at least seven points in six-straight games, as it's clear he's becoming a bigger factor in this rotation. In fact, VanVleet only surpassed seven points once all season prior to this stretch, as he's doing all this damage off the bench. The real issue is the guard depth on this team though, as this is the ceiling for a player whose behind Kyle Lowry on the depth chart. As long as Lowry stays healthy, ValVleet should remain on waiver wires.

VanVleet gathered 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three assists, one rebound and one steal through 22 minutes Wednesday against New Orleans.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet played a season-high 22 minutes Wednesday since Delon Wright injured his shoulder during the game. VanVleet is averaging 13.3 minutes this season and if Wright is unable to play in Toronto's next game Friday against the Knicks, VanVleet will likely see a slight increase in playing time.

VanVleet (head) notched three points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), four assists and two turnovers across 17 minutes during Saturday's game against the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet was forced to leave Thursday's regular-season opener after taking a shot to the head. However, after gaining clearance from the medical staff, VanVleet was able to take the floor Saturday without issue. It appears he's avoided any sort of concussion and should be good to moving forward. Look for VanVleet to take on his usual role as the Raptors third point guard behind Kyle Lowry and Delon Wright come Monday's tilt with the Spurs.

VanVleet took a shot to the heat and was seen heading into the locker room during Thursday's game against the Bulls, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
He should be considered questionable to return until further notice. If he's held out, Delon Wright would seemingly get the bulk of reserve point guard minutes.

VanVleet posted 10 points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists, and one block in 18 minutes during Tuesday's 116-94 win over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
VanVleet has been a model of consistency through three preseason games, and he seems locked into a battle with fellow backup point guard Delon Wright for minutes behind Kyle Lowry. Thus far Wright has earned more minutes in preseason play, averaging 24.0 minutes compared to VanVleet's 16.3 per night. Nevertheless, neither guard is likely to make much of a fantasy impact unless Lowry were to suffer an injury.
