VanVleet will be joined by Pascal Siakam and Bruno Caboclo on the assignment, and all three players are expected to suit up for the 905 on Tuesday in their D-League Finals series with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The rookie point guard saw three minutes in garbage time during the Raptors' Game 5 win over the Bucks on Monday, scoring three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and adding one assist.

VanVleet has logged a total of seven minutes over the Raptors' last seven games, so he recently spent time in the D-League to aid in his development and get him the reps he wasn't seeing with the big club. He'll rejoin the Raptors after being recalled Tuesday, but even with Kyle Lowry (wrist) still out, Cory Joseph and Delon Wright have seen the majority of the minutes at point guard, which keeps VanVleet out of the rotation on most nights.

VanVleet scored five points (2-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt) to go with two assists, two rebounds and a steal over 22 minutes in Monday's 100-78 win over the Mavericks.

VanVleet saw his highest usage of the season since joining the Raptors last month. The game was well out of hand by the fourth quarter, so the bench saw increased action. VanVleet hasn't had much impact since he was called up from the D- League in February, averaging only 3.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists across six games, but he's provided ample insurance on the depth chart while Kyle Lowry (wrist) is out. Cory Joseph and Deion Wright remain ahead of him in the pecking order, so VanVleet currently has little fantasy value, and may not even be with the team for much longer.

VanVleet scored a game-high 26 points and dished out 11 assists in the outing, but he will return to the team for Friday's game against the Celtics where he will continue to serve a deep bench role.

The Raptors are off the schedule until Sunday, so VanVleet will presumably suit up in the 905's game Friday versus the Canton Charge before rejoining the parent club immediately thereafter. VanVleet briefly displaced Cory Joseph as the backup point guard for two games last week, averaging 12.5 points, 3.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointer in 21.5 minutes, but he's since dropped back out of the rotation in the last two contests. VanVleet will be third on the depth chart at point guard upon returning to the Raptors.

VanVleet dropped 15 points (5-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three assists, three rebounds, and one steal across 23 minutes during Friday's 102-94 loss to the Magic.

With Cory Joseph hitting only 32.1 percent of his attempts from the field over the past four games, coach Dwane Casey opted to go with VanVleet as his reserve point guard in Friday's contest and was rewarded with a 15-point outing from the rookie. Coming into the game, VanVleet had only appeared in 19 contests and averaged 5.4 minutes per game, but Friday's performance could earn him some more playing time, especially with DeMar DeRozan (ankle) out, Cory Joseph struggling as of late, and Kyle Lowry shouldering a massive workload. His next chance to follow up on his career-higher comes Sunday against the Nets, who hold the NBA's worst record. VanVleet likely won't become a relevant fantasy option in year-long leagues any time soon, but makes an intriguing DFS play until the Raptors get DeRozan back.

VanVleet scored 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT) while adding four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 25 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 119-109 win over the Nets.

EDGE Analysis

With Kyle Lowry (rest) getting the night off, Cory Joseph moved into the Raptors' starting lineup and VanVleet took over Joseph's usual role on the second unit, setting career highs in points and minutes in the process. Lowry should return Wednesday in Philadelphia, though, leaving VanVleet back at the end of the bench hoping to pick up some garbage time action.
