Eric Bledsoe said that he's been working hard during the offseason. "I'm trying to get better, even better than I did last year," Bledsoe said. "Coming off the bench, I did a lot. I'm trying to increase that 10 times more. Just coming in and having a big impact in the game." It's hard to imagine Bledsoe doing anything 10 times hard than he does in the game since he's one of the most energetic players in the NBA. He's expected to be thrust into a significant role and since he led all point guards in blocks despite just 20.4 minutes per game, the bar is going to be set fairly high for the 23 year old.

LeBron James said that the Suns got "something special" in Eric Bledsoe. LeBron is obviously much better at playing basketball than he is at evaluating talent, but he's not going out on a limb here. The Suns getting Bledsoe may be the best trade of the 2013 offseason and even though they already have a proven point guard in Goran Dragic, he should get plenty of minutes. We wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Bledsoe break out in his first year in Phoenix.

GM Ryan McDonough reiterated that Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic will play together. Dragic is 6-foot-3 and Bledsoe is 6-foot-1, and neither one has much experience playing off the ball. But McDonough, who was a proponent of the Rajon Rondo/Avery Bradley lineup while in Boston, doesn't see an issue. "I try not to differentiate (positions). ... If guys are both tough and aggressive and can pass and shoot well, that leads to a lot of good things," he said. The Suns are going to play an up-tempo offensive scheme centered around their two guards. They won't win many games, but both Bledsoe and Dragic have high fantasy ceilings.

Suns coach Jeff Hornacek confirmed that he wants his team to push the ball at every opportunity. Hornacek's desire for up-tempo play was obvious throughout the Suns' Summer League games, which he coached himself. "Just go. Everybody run," he said. "And that should be to our advantage, and a weapon we should have. We're not going to have to look for one guy ... we've got two guys [Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe] who can run the floor. That should be fun." Whether or not it results in victories, a quickened pace should be a boon for fantasy owners.

Suns GM Ryan McDonough said he's hoping Eric Bledsoe can be a potential star. "I hope he can be," McDonough said. "He's not yet. But I'd say all of us, myself included, are very excited to see what he'll become." It's an obvious statement from a GM that put his fingerprints on his new team with a huge trade. That said, it's worth noting that the Suns may give him every opportunity to succeed. Bledsoe will be a highly coveted player in fantasy drafts and he should get enough minutes to be consider a must-start player as long as he's healthy.

The Suns, Clippers and Bucks officially completed their three-team trade centered around Eric Bledsoe. Wednesday is the first day free agents can officially sign on the dotted line, which means Bledsoe and Caron Butler are finally members of the Suns. The Clippers got J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley in the deal, while the Bucks will receive two second-round picks. The first is the Suns' second-round pick in 2014 (via the Raptors) and the second is via the Clippers but is protected in 2015 or 2016 and unprotected in 2017.

Suns acquired PG Eric Bledsoe as part of a three-team trade with the Clippers and Bucks. Bledsoe and Caron Butler go to the Suns, Jared Dudley and J.J. Redick go to the Clippers and the Bucks get two second-round draft picks. Redick gets a four-year, $27 million deal with L.A. as part of a sign-and-trade. It's a nice haul for the Clips, who stood to lose the extremely intriguing Bledsoe next summer in restricted free agency. Now he'll go to Phoenix, who already has Goran Dragic, who is signed through 2014-15 and has a player option for 2015-16. It's not an ideal landing spot thanks to the potential timeshare, but we'd still expect both players to push for 30 minutes. Bledsoe has the raw talent to eventually be a top-10 NBA point guard.

The Clippers have received trade inquiries about Eric Bledsoe from the Bucks, Magic, Mavericks, Pistons and Raptors, but talks "have yet to reach a serious stage." Doc Rivers is reportedly a fan of Bledsoe, and ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reports that it's "sounding more and more like [the] Clippers might just hold on to Bledsoe." If he is traded and becomes a starting PG for one of the above teams, fantasy owners should remember his stats in 12 starts last season -- 14.2 points, 0.6 threes, 4.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.

The Clippers and Mavericks are reportedly discussing sign-and-trade scenarios which would send O.J. Mayo to L.A. in exchange for Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe is a hot commodity and he's already been linked to rumored deals with the Magic (Arron Afflalo) and Bucks (J.J. Redick), among others. At face value a Clips-Mavs swap makes sense, as the Clippers covet free agent Mayo and the Mavs need a starting-caliber point guard.

There are "rumblings" that the Clippers and Bucks are discussing a trade involving Eric Bledsoe and J.J. Redick, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. Redick is an unrestricted FA so this would be a sign-and-trade on the Bucks' end, and it adds yet another possible PG to Milwaukee's muddled backcourt picture. It shouldn't take long for more details to surface.
