Wright (shoulder) will visit with a specialist next week after being diagnosed with an injury consistent with a dislocated right shoulder.
EDGE Analysis
Wright sustained the injury during Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, and while the Raptors initially only announced that he'd sit out Friday against the Knicks, it's now clear that Wright is likely to miss an extended period. The backup point guard will make the trip to New York with the team next Wednesday, at which point he'll meet with a specialist who will determine the best course of action. Surgery is certainly a possibility for Wright, who underwent a procedure on the same shoulder in the summer of 2016.

Wright dislocated his right shoulder and will not play in Friday's matchup with the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
Wright suffered the injury in the second quarter of Wednesday's win over the Pelicans, and it looks like the point guard could be out for an extended period of time. The Raptors likely won't be able to provide a specific timetable, however, until they get the test results back. In Wright's absence, look for Fred VanVleet to step up as the team's backup point guard behind Kyle Lowry.

Wright suffered a right shoulder injury during Wednesday's game against the Pelicans and won't return.
EDGE Analysis
Wright suffered the injury in the second quarter of Wednesday's contest and immediately went back to the locker room. It's the same shoulder he had to have surgery on in August of 2016 for a torn labrum, which makes this latest news especially concerning. Wright is expected to be reevaluated once the team returns to Toronto, which should give us a better indication for how long he'll be on the sidelines.

Wright recorded 14 points (5-5 FG, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 26 minutes during Tuesday's 129-113 win over the Rockets.
EDGE Analysis
Wright matched his season high in scoring, and he has now earned 22-plus minutes in eight of 13 games thus far in 2017-18. Wright's combination of size and skill allows him to play multiple positions on both sides of the ball, and he was among those who saw extended run with Norman Powell (hip) sidelined. Furthermore, Wright was already averaging career bests in points, rebounds, assists, minutes, and field goal and free-throw percentages.

Wright scored 13 points (4-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-5 FT) while adding five assists, two rebounds and a steal in 23 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 117-100 win over the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
He looked good as the floor general of a Raptors' second unit that lacks experience outside of newcomer C.J. Miles. Wright could see an uptick in minutes and production if Fred VanVleet's head injury proves to be serious, but his fantasy utility will remain limited to deep leagues in his current role.

Wright compiled 11 points (2-7 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 23 minutes in Thursday's 106-101 preseason loss to the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Wright generated his second 11-point effort in three exhibitions despite seeing a slight minutes drop for the second consecutive game. The 2015 first-round pick improved his numbers across the stat sheet in his sophomore 2016-17 campaign and should have ample opportunity to take another significant step forward in the coming season. With Cory Joseph now in Indiana as part of the deal that netted the Raptors veteran C.J. Miles, Wright has the inside track on the top backup point guard job behind Kyle Lowry.

Wright will start at point guard for Wednesday's preseason matchup with the Clippers, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kyle Lowry is getting the night off for rest, which allows Wright to draw into the starting lineup at point guard in his place. Wright was very effective in the team's preseason opener on Sunday against the Clippers, positing 11 points (4-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and a steal across 28 minutes. Without Lowry, Wright should get a fairly large workload once again, with Fred VanVleet providing relief off the bench.

Wright supplied 13 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes Thursday in a 104-77 loss to the Bucks in Game 3 of the series.
EDGE Analysis
With the Raptors falling into a 20-point hole after one quarter and a 29-point deficit at halftime, coach Dwane Casey was forced to lean on his bench more heavily than he probably preferred, which worked to the benefit of Wright. While it was too late for the second-year guard to lead a serious comeback effort, Wright may have earned himself some more court time heading into Game 4. At 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds with good length, Wright could be helpful in combating the long-limbed Bucks' size advantage in the backcourt.

Wright contributed 13 points (4-7 FG, 5-7 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and two steals across 24 minutes during Thursday's 101-84 victory over the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
Wright's minutes have been spotty over the month of March as the Raptors are running with a three point guard rotation with Kyle Lowry (wrist) out, but he performed well in a solid workload Thursday. The 24-year-old sophomore out of Utah is still adjusting to the NBA, as he's bounced back and forth between the D-League and the Association several times this season. In 16 games with the Raptors, he's averaging 5.6 points, 1.5 assists, and 0.9 steals across 16.1 minutes per game while hitting 40.6 percent of his shots from the field.

Wright scored 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-3 FT) while adding three rebounds, three assists and three steals in 25 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 104-89 loss to the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
He saw more minutes and was more productive than Cory Joseph in this one, but that was largely the result of the Raptors being down by 18 at the half. The 13 points still represented a new season high for Wright, and the second-year point guard could see a larger workload and more opportunities going forward if Joseph continues to struggle as the starter in the absence of Kyle Lowry (wrist).
