Darren Collison played 37 minutes off the bench and scored 20 points with five rebounds, six assists, three steals, one 3-pointer and seven turnovers against the Celtics on Wednesday. Collison's move to the bench is starting to yield some positives for his owners with averages of 15.8 points and 2.0 steals in his last four games. He's playing with a chip on his shoulder and is still worth owning in all leagues.

Darren Collison scored 15 points off the bench on Monday against the Kings, hitting 7-of-9 shots (including a three) with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 30 minutes. Collison played just fine and had plenty of easy looks against the Kings' porous defense. His value might not be as high as when he was an unquestioned starter with a boatload of minutes, but he's not going to completely fall off the fantasy cliff.

Darren Collison led the Mavericks' second unit with 12 points, four rebounds, five assists and two steals in 32 minutes on Saturday. Derek Fisher and Collison played together at times, and Rick Carlisle continues to vary his lineups and rotations on a nightly basis -- he's even spoken of Vince Carter getting minutes as an obstensible PF. Collison is explosive enough to hold some value as a reserve, so try to remain patient as he settles into the role.

Darren Collison came off the bench and was aggressive by shooting 10-of-12 from the line and 3-of-6 from the field for 16 points with four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 27 minutes against the Suns in a 97-94 victory. Derek Fisher played 21 minutes and scored just two points. Collison wasn't interested in in settling for jumpers and his miss from outside the paint came on a buzzer-beating attempt from halfcourt. The stat line isn't going to knock your socks off, but his owners should feel better about his outlook after tonight's game.

Darren Collison played just 18 minutes off the bench on Wednesday against the Clippers, scoring eight points on 2-of-5 shooting with two rebounds, two assists, one steal, and five turnovers. Collison missed his only 3-point attempt but did hit all four of his free throws, and he can actually thank garbage time for about half of this production. Derek Fisher scored 15 points with three treys over 27 minutes tonight, and Collison looked like he wilted in the presence of his new veteran overlord. Chances are he won't be this bad every night, and Fisher has plenty of risks himself so owners will want to weigh their options carefully when considering a drop.

Darren Collison played 27 minutes and had 12 points, two rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one 3-pointer off the bench vs. Detroit on Saturday. This isn't what his owners wanted to see and Collison will have a tough time maintaining more than low-end value if he's not playing 30 minutes per game. He was off to a hot start earlier this year, however, and patience should be exercised under most circumstances. On the plus side, at least his finger injury seems to have healed.

Rick Carlisle said on Friday that he expects Derek Fisher to start at point guard, a move that would push Darren Collison to the bench. "He's probably going to be our starting point guard," Carlisle said of the newly signed Fisher. "We've got a great situation with him and Collison." While Fisher is unlikely to offer much fantasy value of his own, this move is a definite blow to Collison if it ends up happening. Owners might want to quickly try to trade Collison before the move becomes official.

Darren Collison (finger) practiced on Friday after missing Wednesday's game against the Bulls. It's a good indication that Collison's finger injury isn't serious. He's apparently lost his starting job to Derek Fisher, which is an interesting decision by Rick Carlisle, but the coach likes him coming off the bench. He looked comfortable in a reserve role in his last game, scoring 12 points, dishing six assists and swiping five steals in 30 minutes.

Rick Carlisle said that he likes Darren Collison coming off the bench. Collison will apparently come off the bench behind Derek Fisher, who is expected to be officially signed on Thursday. "I loved the way he played in Philly," Carlisle said of Collison. "He said that putting Collison in a starter's role "isn't fair to him," and it sure looks like Collison will continue to come off the bench despite Carlisle calling him the "starting point guard" earlier in the week. The point guard is targeting a Saturday return from his sprained finger.

Darren Collison suffered a sprained right middle finger and will not play against the Bulls on Wednesday. The X-rays were negative. Collison came off the bench on Tuesday and Rick Carlisle said he was his "starting point guard" after the win. This news comes out of nowhere and Dominique Jones will likely draw the start for Dallas. He should be considered as questionable for Saturday's game against the Pistons.
