Cavs coach Mike Brown said Andrew Bynum will start at center if he's healthy.
If he's healthy should be Bynum's middle name at this point. Bynum said at his introductory news conference that he'll be ready to go for training camp and his goal is to play a full season at an All-Star level. Bynum certainly has the talent to do that, but we have major reservations about his knees. It should be noted Brown was Bynum's coach during his best season as a pro in 2011-12, which is also the last time he played anything close to a full season.

Andrew Bynum said any questions about his work ethic are nonsense.
Issues with Bynum's work ethic and desire to be great go all the way back to his time with the Lakers and, along with his creaky knees, are part of the reason why he's basically operating on a show-me contract. Bynum said he was surprised he didn't play in a single game last season but said he wants to get back to being an All-Star and believes the Cavs are "definitely a playoff team." Sounds like a good introduction to Cleveland, but time will tell if the words hold up.

Andrew Bynum will spend the rest of the summer in Cleveland to complete any rehab he might have left.
Bynum and his agent swear the big man is healthy, but we're sure the Cavs doctors will want to guide his return to the court slowly, but surely. Bynum is scheduled to be introduced Friday morning, so we'll finally get to hear from the man himself on his injuries, signing with the Cavs and what he expects this season.

Andrew Bynum's press conference to announce his signing with the Cavaliers has been pushed back and will not happen on Thursday as originally planned.
There don't appear to be any major problems concerning Bynum's move to the Cavs, but it sounds like the proper paperwork won't be completed in time for a Thursday announcement. While Bynum's camp says he's healthy and ready to go, the fact they can't even get the press conference right could be an ominous sign.

Andrew Bynum's agent, David Lee, says his client's knees are healthy and Bynum is planning to have an All-Star season.
This is the same agent who admitted Bynum is at least 15 pounds overweight and hasn't played basketball in a while. There was even a report that other players on the 76ers told their agent that Bynum couldn't do anything physically. A Cavs executive also told beat writer Jason Lloyd that both of Bynum's knees are "not good." This deal could work out in the end, but it's certainly not getting off to a good start.

Andrew Bynum gained 15 points since his knee surgery in March and hasn't picked up a ball in some time, according to his agent David Lee.
"There was no reason to have him work out," Lee said. "His skill level's not in question, so there's no reason to work out. The reality is he has not picked up the ball in some time and he has to get his weight down. He's got to lose probably about 15 pounds, which is not a big deal. But to get on the floor you've got to reduce your weight, otherwise you risk injury." This isn't the first thing that Cavs fans will want to hear about their new center. The Cavs got Bynum for a bit of a bargain at $6 million guaranteed, but there is a ton of risk that comes with him. He expects to be ready for training camp.

Andrew Bynum has decided to join the Cleveland Cavaliers.
His deal with the Cavs will include $6 million of $12 million guaranteed in the first year, then there will be a team option of $12.5 million for 2014-15. It's a decent reward-to-risk ratio for the Cavs with the deal, which is saying something since Bynum didn't work out for teams during this free agency period. He will be reunited with coach Mike Brown from their Laker days and the Cavs have a pretty impressive roster compared to last season with Bynum, Anthony Bennett, Jarrett Jack and Earl Clark. Of course, there will be tremendous concern about how their team needs to stay healthy. As for fantasy, if you're willing to gamble, Bynum could pay dividends in the late-middle rounds of drafts.

The Cavs' two-year, $24 million offer only contains $6 million in guarantees in the first season, sources tell ESPN's Marc Stein.
The deal basically breaks down into two one-year, $12 million contracts, with the second year being a team option. According to Stein, Bynum's first year would feature lots of incentives, but he also points out it's still Bynum's highest offer to this point. Bynum is also considering the Hawks and Mavs, who some Cavs officials reportedly believe are the favorites to land Bynum.

The Mavs met with Andrew Bynum on Wednesday but did not work him out.
Bynum's visit with Dallas followed meetings with the Hawks and Cavs, who have a standing offer on the table that's probably the best Bynum will get. Mavs GM Donnie Nelson was predictably tight-lipped about the team's meeting with Bynum. All Nelson would acknowledge was the parties had lunch and Bynum met with the team's doctors. Bynum's agent admitted Tuesday he has no real idea when Bynum will decide on his next team.

Andrew Bynum's agent, David Lee, says he's not sure when his client will pick a team.
Bynum met with the Hawks on Tuesday and is slated to meet with the Mavs later this week. He also has a two-year, $24 million offer on the table from the Cavs, although the second year is a team option. Cleveland reportedly is pushing Bynum to make a decision, but it doesn't sound like Lee has any idea when that will happen. It will be interesting to see if Cleveland moves on while Bynum continues other options.
