Johnson will get the start at center with Joel Embiid resting Saturday against the Raptors, Brian Seltzer of Sixers.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, the veteran free agent acquisition will get the nod in place of Embiid, who's yet to be cleared to play in both halves of back-to-back sets. While Johnson will be the primary option, coach Brett Brown indicated that embattled former No. 3 overall pick Jahlil Okafor will also be in the mix for minutes at the five.

Johnson will not play in Friday's preseason finale against the Heat due to rest purposes, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 76ers likely feel they don't need to see much from Johnson, who is currently serving as a veteran on a young team, and will give him the night off while Philadelphia has one final tune up before the start of the regular season. Johnson is expected to come off the bench for the 76ers this season and serve as a valuable mentor for the numerous young big men the team has on their roster.

Johnson (ankle) will start at center during Friday's game against the Celtics, Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, but is seemingly feeling better enough to play Friday. He'll be replacing Richaun Holmes in the starting five from last game, as coach Brett Brown seemingly is looking to try something new.

Johnson (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, but is considered probable for Friday's preseason matchup with the Celtics, Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson sat out Wednesday's exhibition due to a sprained ankle, but he was able to go through portions of Thursday's practice without issue. As long as all goes well during pregame warmups Friday, look for Johnson to return to the lineup, though coach Brett Brown could certainly limit his minutes to avoid any sort of aggravation.

Johnson (ankle) will not play during Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson is recovering from a right ankle sprain and didn't participate in Wednesday's shootaround, either. In his stead, Kris Humphries and James McAdoo could see extra minutes at power forward during the exhibition affair.

Johnson sprained his right ankle during Tuesday's practice and is questionable for Wednesday's preseason game against the Grizzlies, Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's seemingly little reason for the team to deploy the veteran Wednesday and risk further injury. That said, look for updates on his status closer to tipoff.

Johnson has agreed to terms on a one-year, $11 million contract with the 76ers, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite starting 77-of-80 games for the Celtics during the 2016-17 campaign, Johnson still saw his lowest playing time over the last seven years, as he averaged just 20.1 minutes per contests. He added averages of 6.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists, so he wasn't the greatest option for fantasy owners. With the move to Philadelphia, Johnson isn't necessarily slated to see a huge increase in his workload and he'll likely come off the bench behind promising rookie Dario Saric at power forward. That said, with 12 years of NBA experience, he should be a nice mentor for some of the Sixers' younger bigs.

Johnson (shoulder) will play in Game 5 against the Cavaliers.
EDGE Analysis
Not all too surprising a decision considering Johnson was available in emergency situations for Game 4. Kelly Olynyk will continue to start at power forward but Johnson could provide a spark off the bench. Given the injury, the 30-year-old probably won't garner much fantasy value, especially with Jaylen Brown also cleared for the contest.

Johnson (shoulder) is considered probable for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday against the Cavaliers, Chris Forsberg of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson was reportedly available off the bench in an emergency situation for Game 4 on Tuesday, so it's not surprising he's expected to again be available for Game 5. That said, even if he does get cleared as anticipated, it's unclear if he'll take back the starting role from Kelly Olynyk. Johnson averaged just 8.7 minutes over the first three games of this series, so even at full strength, he's not a great fantasy option. Look for his status to be updated after Thursday's morning shootaround.

Updating a previous reports, Johnson (shoulder) will be available off the bench for Game 4 against the Cavaliers on Tuesday, David Aldridge of NBA.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It sounds like Johnson will be available in an emergency situation, but it wouldn't be surprising if he was held out for the entire contest as originally expected while he deals with a AC joint sprain in his right shoulder. Kelly Olynyk has already been announced as a starter and should see an uptick in minutes, while Jonas Jerebko is also likely to see more playing time off the bench in the frontcourt.
