The 30-year-old veteran continues to hold down the fort as the starting center during the absence of Joel Embiid (face/concussion), and Johnson finished one point shy of what would have been his second double-double of the campaign. With Embiid expected to miss the remainder of the regular season, Johnson is likely to remain the starter for at least the next four tilts.

With that being said, Johnson is best reserved for use in deeper leagues.

Johnson, as expected, will head back to the bench for Thursday's contest against the Bulls.

Johnson saw more minutes than Joel Embiid, who coming off a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday sat out the entire fourth quarter of this one since the 76ers' lead was never threatened. Fellow backup big man Richaun Holmes has been a healthy scratch in six of the last seven games, which bodes for well for Johnson. Still, this is the first time since Dec. 30 that Johnson saw 20-plus minutes, and he's much more well known for doing the little things than filling up the box score.

Johnson will return to a bench role for Wednesday's matchup with the Nets.

Johnson picked up the start Monday against Milwaukee with Joel Embiid sitting out for rest, posting five points, five rebounds, two assists and a block across 18 minutes. The Sixers are set to be without Joel Embiid (rest) in the second game of a back-to-back, which allows Johnson to pick up the start in his place. However, in eight previous starts, Johnson has averaged just 7.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists across 19.7 minutes, so he's not necessarily the most intriguing DFS option for Monday's slate. Richaun Holmes is likely a slightly better option and should also benefit with Embiid out.
