Whenever Derrick Rose (illness) sits a game, this will be a sneaky play, especially in daily fantasy leagues. Brooks can shoot the ball when given an opportunity. He has shown that throughout his career.

Brooks could get the start at point guard Friday, with both Kirk Hinrich (chest) and Derrick Rose (hamstring) inactive. Brooks has been averaging 20 minutes through the first 12 games of the season, but he'll most likely get the start Friday and get a hefty bump in playing time. With Brooks running the show, he should also be able to improve his scoring and assist numbers, as he's currently averaging 10.5 points and 3.4 assists. We'll have to wait and see who coach Tom Thibodeau decides to officially insert into the starting lineup, but it seems like Brooks has the best shot at this point.

Brooks (ankle) came off the bench to score 26 points (9-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT) with eight assists in the loss to the Celtics on Saturday. He fouled out after 28 minutes. Brooks tweaked his ankle on Friday, but was able to play through the game and outplayed starter Kirk Hinrich (28 scoreless minutes). He should continue to be a productive player off the Bulls' bench.

Brooks tweaked his right ankle in Friday's game, but said he is hopeful he will be able to play Saturday, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports. He got it re-taped Friday, and it sounds like he may not have to miss any time because of the minor ankle injury. Consider him day-to-day. Brooks had 10 points and four assists in 17 minutes off the bench Friday.

You read that correctly, the six-foot tall Brooks blocked three shots, showing us exactly how athletic he really is. Brooks came off the bench Tuesday, but played the same number of minutes as Kirk Hinrich did, and outperformed him as well. Once Derrick Rose (ankle returns) he'll lose quite a bit of fantasy value, but he'll be a player to watch moving forward.

Brooks scored 16 points (6-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT) to go along with two rebounds and five assists in 23 minutes Saturday against Minnesota. The Bulls needed Brooks to step up Saturday with Derrick Rose (ankles) out of action and he came through in a big way. Brooks has been an offensive sparkplug off the bench for the Bulls so far this season and given Rose's injury history, he could see more playing time than expected.

Brooks scored 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with two assists in 20 minutes in the overtime loss to Cleveland on Friday. Brooks looks like the latest of scoring guards off the bench for coach Tom Thibodeau following Nate Robinson and D.J. Augustin. If Derrick Rose's ankle injury proves to keep him off the court, Brooks could get a nice, short-term bump in fantasy value.

Brooks scored nine points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt) to go along with two rebounds, four assists and one block in 24 minutes Monday against the Cavaliers. Brooks doesn't hesitate to shoot and provides the Bulls with a nice sparkplug off the bench. He may have the occasional offensive outburst, but is unlikely to have a significant fantasy impact this season unless the Bulls backcourt were to suffer a significant injury.

Bulls sign G Aaron Brooks. The deal had been reported last week and became official for the third-string point guard. "You never know what's going to happen," Brooks said. "I enjoyed some success this past year when I got the opportunity to play. I think they just want me to come in, work hard, and help push everyone." He won't be worth drafting in almost any league.

The Bulls are finalizing a contract with Aaron Brooks. He'll move into a role similar to D.J. Augustin's, who thrived in the Bulls' system last year and is now in Detroit. Brooks has some nice range from the outside, but would not likely see major minutes while the Bulls are healthy.
