Brooks (hamstring) has been ruled out of Monday's matchup with the Spurs, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brooks has reportedly been showing some improvement recently, but considering he was ruled out a day in advance, it could mean he's still further away from a return than originally believed. His next opportunity to play will be Wednesday versus the Nuggets, but don't be surprised to see him sit again as he continues to work back from his hamstring injury. With Kirk Hinrich also questionable, E'Twaun Moore could see a ton of extra minutes.

Brooks (hamstring) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Trail Blazers, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brooks' hamstring has reportedly shown improvement in recent days, but he was still unable to practice Sunday, which resulted in the Bulls making the quick decision to rule him out. Coach Fred Hoiberg previously said a few days ago that Brooks would be out for the "next couple games," so expecting him back in time for Friday's tilt against the Pacers may prove to be overly optimistic.

Brooks (hamstring) will not play against the Warriors on Friday, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brooks was forced to leave Wednesday's game against the Suns during the third quarter due to a left hamstring strain. Considering that Derrick Rose is questionable to play Friday with a sprained ankle, E'Twaun Moore and Kirk Hinrich could be forced to play heavy minutes.

Brooks (hamstring) appears doubtful to play Friday against the Warriors, Sam Smith of Bulls.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
A left hamstring strain forced Brooks to exit in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's win over the Suns, and though the Bulls haven't offered word on the extent of his injury, early indications are that it appears significant enough to shelve him for at least one game. If that's the case, the Bulls could be forced to hand heavy minutes to Kirk Hinrich and E'Twaun Moore at the point guard spot, as starter Derrick Rose (ankle) is also uncertain to play Friday.

Brooks exited Wednesday's game with a left hamstring injury, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brooks was able to return after first suffering the injury, but he was ultimately forced from the game in the fourth quarter. The extent of his setback is uncertain, but with the Bulls playing again Thursday, the injury could cost him further action.

Brooks (coach's decision) didn't play in Monday's 96-95 win over the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
It appears the return of Kirk Hinrich (toe) could cost Brooks a regular spot in the Bulls' rotation. Brooks saw just six minutes in Hinrich's first game back Friday against the Hornets, then dropped out of the rotation entirely Monday night. The Bulls did lose starting point guard Derrick Rose late in Monday's game to a left ankle sprain, so it's possible that Brooks could regain a bench role for the team's next game Wednesday in Phoenix. However, unless Rose's injury proves to be a long-term issue, it looks like Brooks will continue to play behind Hinrich and E'Twaun Moore.

Brooks contributed 10 points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, and four assists over 19 minutes off the bench in Monday's win over the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
Brooks feasted on playing against one of the NBA's worst rosters, churning out excellent all-around production despite not cracking the 20-minute mark. He continues to battle E'Twaun Moore for floor time behind Derrick Rose, but with Mike Dunleavy and Kirk Hinrich both out of the mix due to injuries, both healthy players should continue to approach 20 minutes on most occasions.

Brooks scored 14 points off the bench Tuesday, dishing out four assists and hitting four three-point shots in a 130-105 blowout loss to the Hornets.
EDGE Analysis
The point total was a season-high for Brooks, who may start to give Derrick Rose a run for minutes. Unless Rose starts to catch fire, expect Brooks to get longer looks off the bench from coach Fred Hoiberg.

Brooks has averaged 16.6 minutes, 2.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.6 steals, and 6.4 points within the Bulls' 2015-16 season.
EDGE Analysis
The point guard has proved to be a solid backup option to starting point guard Derrick Rose. Brooks took Rose's role during Chicago's preseason due to Rose's left orbital fracture and served as an excellent replacement while averaging 10.2 points, 1.4 steals, 2.6 assists, and 2.3 rebounds. The 30-year-old will likely have limited minutes if Rose can stay healthy, but Brooks could still provide solid input coming off the bench.

Brooks poured in 22 points (8-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, and five rebounds in Tuesday's 103-94 preseason victory over the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
Brooks illustrated why he serves as excellent short-term insurance for the sidelined Derrick Rose (left orbital fracture), tallying his highest scoring night of the preseason and sinking four three-pointers in the process. The veteran showed some scoring punch while averaging 11.6 points-per-game over an average court time of 23 minutes in 2014-15, and appears ready to take the point guard reins in the early portion of the regular season if Rose continues to experience the vision problems that have plagued him in his recovery.
