The news that Lawson was out came way to late to get Brooks into lineups, so one of the best games of his career was wasted in most fantasy leagues. Lawson should be back sooner than later, meaning Brooks should return to bench before he would help your team. He's been doing well in the assists department off the bench (5 or 7 in each of his previous four games), but has struggled to score off the bench with nine or fewer points over that stretch. His previous high in assists was 13 in 2009.

Aaron Brooks will start against the Pistons on Wednesday. Ty Lawson (illness) is a late scratch for this game and the Nuggets will look to get something out of Brooks tonight. He's been used quite a bit off the bench and should have plenty of chances to score with the first string. He's a decent spot-start tonight.

He's put up some solid stats for the Nuggets in his four games with them, averaging 13.3 points, 2.5 boards, 4.5 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.5 triples on 45.7 percent from the field in that span. Those are must-start numbers right there, so he should be in all lineups until Ty Lawson (ribs) can return.

Aaron Brooks got another start on Tuesday and had 14 points, five rebounds and six assists in a loss to the Blazers. Brooks posted a pretty serviceable line if you started him in a daily money league, but his value will be shot once Ty Lawson is back from his rib injury.

He shot 3-of-12 from the field and did turn the ball over in the loss. Brooks did enough tonight to reinforce the claim he'll be able to hold value while Ty Lawson (ribs) is down. Lawson doesn't have a timetable to return, so Brooks is worth a look as a short-term add in most leagues.

Aaron Brooks will start at point guard against the Kings on Sunday. His debut was impressive with 17 points against the Bulls on Friday. The Nuggets might be cooling on the idea of playing Randy Foye as the point guard because he's clearly more comfortable on the wing, which means there could be plenty of minutes available for the former Rocket. Brooks makes a lot of sense as a spot-start tonight.

Aaron Brooks is listed as the Nuggets starting point guard for Friday's game at Chicago. Ty Lawson (ribs) should be considered doubtful. The Nuggets are going to let Brooks hits the ground running after trading for him Thursday, shifting Randy Foye back to the off-guard spot. Still, Brooks is a weak fantasy add because he's facing an elite Bulls defense and Lawson is merely day-to-day. Evan Fournier and Foye will also see some minutes at the point.
