Aaron Brooks came off the bench for 21 points, four 3-pointers, four assists and two steals on 7-of-12 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Hawks, as Jeremy Lin left after four minutes with a bruised right knee. Brooks was great tonight in his return from a thigh injury and would obviously benefit if Lin will miss time with his injury. Brooks has posted big lines in two of his last three games and could be ready to do it again if Lin is going to be out. Patrick Beverley appears to be much more interested in defense than trying to score at this point, and Brooks looks like a more interesting short-term option if Lin is going to be in street clothes for a few games.

Aaron Brooks (bruised thigh) is expected to play on Wednesday. He could see extra minutes with James Harden (foot) once again questionable to play. He scored 26 points on Saturday, which was fluky, but he could provide another quick dose of scoring and 3-pointers before Harden returns.

Aaron Brooks suffered a bruised right thigh in Monday's game at Memphis and is not expected to return. Brooks had three points, three boards, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 16 minutes. Mike Conley and the Grizzlies have been locking down the perimeter on defense, so Patrick Beverley will have to try and solve this puzzle at point guard by himself.

Aaron Brooks came out of nowhere with 26 points, four rebounds, five assists, two steals and six 3-point buckets in 25 minutes off the bench on Saturday. Brooks hit 10-of-14 shots from the field and 6-of-7 3-point attempts, and needless to say he was on fire as the only thing he missed were some ridiculous heat checks. Of course the only reason he was on the floor tonight was James Harden's absence, and giving plenty of points back on the defensive end this was nowhere near a role-changing performance. He might earn a few more appearances in the rotation, though.

Aaron Brooks tweaked his right ankle in Monday's game, but returned after a short absence and finished with nine points, four rebounds, one steal and one block in 18 minutes. Brooks was abused all night on defense and will return to the bench once Patrick Beverley returns. He has no real fantasy value.

Aaron Brooks says he signed a one-year contract with the Rockets. The Rockets waived Brooks in late June and he seemed ticketed for elsewhere. Brooks said he had other offers but took the veteran's minimum from the Rockets because he feels comfortable in Houston. Brooks will likely battle Patrick Beverley and Isaiah Canaan for backup point guard minutes.

The Rockets waived Aaron Brooks on Sunday. The veteran PG will hit the open market on July 1, and he figures to hear pitches from teams like the Nets who could use an affordable backup PG. He's unlikely to be a fantasy asset regardless of where he's playing in 2013-

The Rockets will waive Aaron Brooks before his $2.5 million option becomes guaranteed on June 30th. Brooks signed with Houston after falling out of favor in Sacramento, but he barely played in seven appearances for the Rockets. The five-year NBA veteran will be looking for another backup PG job this summer.

Aaron Brooks is expected to get a look in the Rockets rotation. Kevin McHale said the team is "looking at Aaron," and the Rockets will try to figure out the best way to integrate him into the mix. Brooks said practice reps have been split "evenly" between himself, Patrick Beverley and Jeremy Lin, which is pretty interesting. Brooks can be ignored in fantasy leagues right now.

Kevin McHale said that Aaron Brooks will see "situational" playing time. Brooks did not get off the bench on Wednesday. The new point guard might get some run after he has a few practices, but McHale is clearly not going to rush just for the sake of rushing. "We don't run standard NBA sets," McHale said. "We play a lot different."
