Aaron Brooks (ankle) will play against the Pelicans on Saturday. He suffered a minor ankle sprain on Thursday's game and had his ankle re-taped following the injury, but never made it on the court. Brooks' minutes have taken a bigger hit than expected with Jeremy Lin over his back issue, so it might be time to cut him in most formats.

Aaron Brooks twisted his ankle in Thursday's game against the Grizzlies and had it re-taped, but he did not return. He was expected to return to the game, but the Rockets didn't need him with Jeremy Lin and James Harden handling the backcourt minutes. Brooks finished with six points, one rebound, two assists and no turnovers on 3-of-7 shooting in 15 minutes. His value seems to have taken a dive now that Lin in back.

Aaron Brooks moved back to the bench in Wednesday's victory over the Spurs, playing 14 minutes for six points, one rebound, no assists and two 3-pointers. He was a big help for the Rockets with Jeremy Lin and Patrick Beverley dealing with injuries last week, but Brooks was never really more than a stop-gap option. Fantasy owners should probably lower their expectations with Lin back and ready to play big minutes again.

Aaron Brooks scored 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting (including four threes) with three rebounds, five assists and a block in 27 minutes off the bench on Monday. With James Harden and Patrick Beverley out the result isn't surprising and Brooks should return plenty of value in the midst of the Rockets' five-game week. It's also possible that he holds some lower-end value when Harden returns, so give him a hard look with the hopes he can be productive over the next few weeks.

Aaron Brooks' recent slide continued with two points, one assist and three turnovers in 13 bench minutes vs. the Magic on Sunday. Jeremy Lin (knee) is targeting a return this week, possibly Thursday, which is one more compelling reason to jettison Brooks in standard leagues. It was fun while it lasted.

Aaron Brooks scored eight points on 3-of-7 shooting with two threes, two assists and a steal in 17 minutes off the bench on Friday. With Chandler Parsons back in the fold the trio of Brooks, Francisco Garcia (zero points, six rebounds, four blocks) and Omri Casspi (two points) all returned to being unusable in standard formats.

Aaron Brooks started the second half as the Rockets went small against the Suns on Wednesday, and had 17 points, four rebounds, four assists, three steals and three 3-pointers on 7-of-18 shooting in the loss. Brooks was a popular fantasy play when Jeremy Lin went down with his knee injury, but owners soured on him after Saturday's three-point dud. He's still averaging 13.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 2.2 steals and 2.2 3-pointers over his last five games, and it looks like he should continue to be a decent fantasy option for as long as Lin is out.

Aaron Brooks played just 16 minutes and hit 1-of-8 shots for three points, two rebounds, four assists and three steals in Saturday's win over the Spurs. Brooks came in hot and it's not surprising he cooled off against the defense of the Spurs. As long as Jeremy Lin is out and Patrick Beverley is focused on defense, we expect Brooks to be better than this on most nights.

Aaron Brooks scored 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting (including three treys) with seven assists, three steals and one block in 28 minutes off the bench in Friday's blowout win over the Nets. The Nets played this game with the ferocity of a sea lion bathing on the beach, so try not to get too far ahead of yourselves when assessing Brooks' value while Jeremy Lin is out. On a normal night he'll probably get 18-24 minutes and a good target for value would be something in the top 90-120 range if it all goes well.

Aaron Brooks could really benefit from the loss of Jeremey Lin (knee). Brooks has shown in the past, that when given the minutes he can be very productive. He blew up for 21-points, four treys, four assists, and two steals in his last game, and could make for a nice speculative add. Just know that Brooks has battled with inconsistency throughout his career, and Lin won't be out all season long.
