Yu Darvish (back) threw a bullpen session Thursday.
Darvish was originally scheduled to throw Friday, so it's safe to say that his back is feeling good. He should come off the disabled list to start Monday against the Yankees.

Yu Darvish (back) is expected to return from the disabled list to start July 22 against the Yankees.
Darvish landed on the disabled list this week with an upper back strain, but he was given a clean bill of health when examined by doctors Thursday. Ross Wolf is starting in his place Thursday against the Orioles. It's essentially the only start he'll miss.

Rangers placed RHP Yu Darvish on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 7, with a slight strain in his right trapezius muscle.
Darvish obviously won't start Thursday, but the good news is that the Rangers suspect he'll only miss just the one outing before returning when first eligible on July 22. Either Ross Wolf or Neil Ramirez will get the ball on Thursday in Baltimore.

Yu Darvish gave up five earned runs in six innings Saturday as the Rangers lost to the Astros.
It was the first time he had allowed five or more runs since last August. Darvish struck out six batters but he issued four walks and the Houston offense made him pay with six big hits. Darvish is now 8-4 with a 3.02 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. He will try to bounce back next week when he faces the Orioles at Camden Yards.

Yu Darvish allowed three runs -- on three solo home runs -- over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Yankees on Tuesday.
Darvish gave up seven hits and two walks in total, striking out six. The 26-year-old still hasn't won a start since May 16, but he still owns a 2.95 ERA and 1.00 WHIP on the year. Wins are fickle and largely out of a pitcher's control, so those will likely come back soon as well. He'll get his next chance on Sunday when he takes on the Reds.

Yu Darvish allowed five runs -- four earned -- in six innings in a loss to the A's on Tuesday.
Even Darvish's bad starts aren't all that bad, as he still managed to strike out 10 A's batters. Still, you could tell he didn't have his best stuff, as he served up homers to John Jaso and Brandon Moss among his six hits allowed. He'll go again Sunday in St. Louis in an interleague matchup.

Yu Darvish wasn't involved in the decision after allowing one run in seven innings and striking out nine Blue Jays on Thursday.
Darvish was certainly more dominant than Esmil Rogers tonight, but it did him no good. It was a 1-1 game when he left, and the Jays immediately took a 3-1 lead afterwards. It's the fourth straight start in which Darvish has received a no-decision. He hasn't won since May 16.

Yu Darvish allowed three runs -- two earned -- over seven innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Saturday.
He fanned seven and walked three. The big blow was a two-run triple in the third inning by Colby Rasmus, who came around to score after an errant relay throw by Jurickson Profar. While Darvish is winless since May 16, he still owns a fine 2.75 ERA on the year and leads the majors with 118 strikeouts in 88 1/3 innings. Another meeting against the Blue Jays is on tap for next week, this time at home.

Yu Darvish struck out 14 Diamondbacks Monday but was stuck with a no-decision after allowing four runs on seven hits over 7 2/3 innings.
He didn't walk a single batter. Memorial Day marked the third time this season that Darvish has K'd 14 batters and the fifth occasion he's struck out 10 or more. The Japanese import is second in the American League in wins (7), fourth in innings (74 1/3), first in strikeouts (105) and fourth in WHIP (0.96). Smart money says the good times continue to roll later this week against the Royals.

Yu Darvish allowed just one run over six innings but took the loss as the A's beat the Rangers on Tuesday.
Darvish allowed only a solo home run to Yoenis Cespedes on the night, but he was outdueled by Dan Straily. Even with the loss, Darvish is 7-2 with a 2.84 ERA through 10 starts. He'll hope for a better fate Monday against the Diamondbacks.
