Darvish (2-3) allowed three runs on six hits over 6.1 innings Tuesday in Baltimore, ending up with a loss despite an impressive nine strikeouts with only one walk.
EDGE Analysis
While he hasn't been rewarded with wins, Darvish does sport a sparkling 26:2 K:BB over his last three starts. The Japanese pitcher also continues to go deeper and deeper into games in his return from Tommy John surgery, with this outing marking the first time he has pitched into the seventh inning this season. He's bound to start getting in the win column soon enough pitching for a competitive Rangers team, and his next chance to do so will come Sunday in Houston.

Darvish allowed two runs, four hits and no walks over six frames, but didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 6-4 loss against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
After struggling with his command and surrendering a leadoff triple and solo shot in a rocky first inning, the right-hander settled in nicely as he allowed just two other batters to reach base before departing in the sixth with a one-run lead. The 29-year-old was in line to collect his first win since June 3, until the bullpen imploded and surrendered four runs in the eighth inning. Darvish will get another shot to add to the win column this Tuesday when he takes the mound in Baltimore.

Darvish (2-2) pitched six innings Friday, allowing three runs (two earned), seven hits and one walk while striking out 11 Royals in the loss.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish was outdueled by Royals' starter Danny Duffy, but left the game without much bad to be said about his performance. Making just his fifth start since August 2014 due to injury, Darvish amassed double-digit strikeouts for the first time since July 18, 2014. Friday also marked the right-hander's longest outing since returning, and his highest pitch total (91). The 29-year-old appears ready to pay dividends to those owners that have patiently waited for the Japanese star to return to form.

Darvish (2-1) (shoulder) mowed down nine Cubs over just 4.1 innings in Saturday's 3-1 loss, while giving up two earned runs on two hits and four walks.
EDGE Analysis
The returning righty certainly had his moments over his time on the mound, notching 13 swinging strikes and setting a new season high in strikeouts. The outing was Darvish's shortest on the season however, and was largely brought about by control problems that saw him equal a season high with four walks and throw 90 pitches. He'll try to get back on the winning side of the ledger on Friday versus the Royals.

Darvish (shoulder) was activated from the DL and will start Saturday's game against the Cubs, the Fort Worth Star Telegram's Jeff Wilson reports.
EDGE Analysis
It will be a tough matchup for the Rangers' ace's first start since June 8, but he should still be deployed in most formats. Darvish has a 2.87 ERA and 29.7 percent K-rate through three starts this year, but going deep into games has been an issue, as he is averaging just over five innings per start in his return from Tommy John surgery.

Darvish (shoulder) threw a bullpen on Wednesday and is expected to be activated off the disabled list to start on Saturday against the Cubs, Rangers Executive VP of Communications John Blake reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish will join a rotation in desperate need of depth. Along with Darvish, the Rangers currently have Derek Holland and Colby Lewis on the disabled list. Expect Darvish to be on a pitch count when he takes on the Cubs at Wrigley Field on Saturday. He hasn't pitched since June 8.

Darvish (shoulder) could come off the DL to start Texas' second game after the All-Star break if his rehab start at Double-A Frisco on Sunday goes well, T,R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
An official decision could come as early as late Sunday, though it's more likely that Texas will wait until early in the week to see if Darvish is able to go through his between-start bullpen session without any issues. A pitcher of Darvish's caliber is usually a slam dunk lineup addition, but he'll have a tough initial draw in Wrigley against the Cubs.

Darvish (shoulder) will get another rehab outing with Double-A Frisco on Sunday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish has pitched in six rehab starts up to this point, posting a 1.20 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 15 innings of work. He is still on pace to return just after the second half of the season begins after being place on the DL retroactive to June 9. Darvish could make another start after Sunday, but the Rangers might elect to let him rest and throw another bullpen before rejoining the club.

Darvish (shoulder) threw 32 pitches in the bullpen Thursday and he's expected to make a second rehab start over the weekend at Double-A Frisco, T.R, Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish is expected to need an additional rehab start following his upcoming effort this weekend, and the struggling Texas rotation will be welcoming him back with open arms. A return during the abbreviated week following the All-Star game seems unlikely but a return shortly thereafter seems a given.

Darvish (shoulder) gave up three runs (two earned) over two-plus innings with five strikeouts in his first rehab start Monday for Double-A Frisco.
EDGE Analysis
As shaky as he was, the five strikeouts are a great sign that his arm is healthy and all his pitches are moving like normal. Darvish threw just 42 pitches as the Rangers are easing him into the rehab assignment, which will include at least one more start before he returns to the majors. Expect him to rejoin Texas's rotation shortly after the All-Star break.
