Darvish, who exited Wednesday's game due to shoulder tightness, indicated after the game that he intends to make his next scheduled start Monday against the Athletics, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
The removal was reportedly precautionary, so Darvish making his next turn certainly shouldn't be ruled out. Owners should track his progress in the coming days as it should be a good indicator of whether or not he'll be ready to go.

Darvish was removed from Wednesday's start against the Astros as a precaution after Darvish began experiencing right shoulder tightness.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish was examined by team doctors in the clubhouse soon after his exit, and fortunately for the right-hander they found no damage in his shoulder. He seems to have dodged a long-term injury, but it's unclear if the ailment is serious enough to warrant his next start to be skipped. The 29-year-old's next start is scheduled for Monday against the Athletics, so his status for that contest should become clearer as that date approaches.

Darvish (2-0) gave up six hits, three earned runs and a walk over 5.2 innings in Friday's 7-3 victory over the Mariners. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old had another encouraging outing, and was able to last long enough to hit his previously determined 85-to-95-pitch limit. It's been relatively smooth sailing for the former All-Star in his comeback from March 2015 Tommy John surgery, as he's tallied 12 strikeouts over 10.2 innings, while issuing only a pair of free passes. Darvish will take the next step in his return against the Astros next Wednesday.

Darvish will be limited to 85-to-95 pitches in his next outing Friday against Seattle, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. "Right now, I don't know if I want to push him to 100. That 85-to-95 [window], and a lot of that is dependent on how he gets to that," said Rangers manager Jeff Banister on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers will continue to monitor Darvish's pitch counts out of the gate as he makes his second start of the season Friday against the Mariners. He threw 81 pitches in his debut Saturday after missing the 2015 campaign to recover from Tommy John surgery, fanning seven batters while only allowing one walk. It's difficult to pinpoint when the Rangers will let Darvish pitch without a strict limit, but as one of their more valuable assets, Darvish could be held to under 100 pitches for at least a couple more starts.

Darvish (1-0) allowed just one run on three hits, struck out seven and walked one over five innings in his 2016 season debut against the Pirates on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Texas limited Darvish to just 81 pitches and five frames, but his strong outing and early run support helped him capture a victory in his debut. He looked real sharp, throwing 51 strikes and inducing 13 swing-and-misses. As encouraging as this is, being that this was his first MLB start in 22 months, fantasy owners should expect the Rangers to be extremely careful with Darvish's innings and pitch count. His next scheduled outing is Friday versus Seattle.

Darvish (elbow) has been activated off the disabled list and he will get the start Saturday against Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish will be making his much-anticipated 2016 debut Saturday after missing the entire 2015 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery. However, he won't likely go very deep in Saturday's outing as the Rangers will keep him on a pitch limit between 85 and 90 pitches. The Rangers optioned outfielder Joey Gallo in a corresponding move Saturday to clear a spot on the active roster for Darvish.

Darvish (elbow) will be capped at around 85-90 pitches in Saturday's start against the Pirates, MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan reports.
EDGE Analysis
This will be Darvish's first big league start since undergoing Tommy John surgery on March 17, 2015, and he built up to 87 pitches in his last rehab outing. If all goes well, Darvish will get 22-23 starts through the end of the season and probably won't surpass 150 innings. The team has naturally been careful not to make public any internal pitch/innings restrictions for Darvish over the rest of the season, but he is returning late enough in the season that they may not need to take any drastic measures to protect him.

Darvish (elbow) will return to the rotation Saturday against the Pirates, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rangers manager Jeff Banister confirmed that plan while meeting with the media Monday. Darvish had a 21:6 K:BB over 20 innings at Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock during his rehab assignment, but it remains to be seen if he'll face any short-term workload restrictions as he completes the return from Tommy John surgery this weekend.

Darvish (elbow) said he is ready for his 2016 debut, Fox Sports Southwest's Anthony Andro reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish finished his rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on Sunday, striking out six batters over six scoreless innings (87 pitches) while allowing just three hits and a walk. He surrendered three runs (two earned) in 20 innings between his five rehab starts for Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock, with 21 strikeouts and just nine hits allowed. Darvish is scheduled to make his 2016 MLB debut Saturday against the Pirates.

Darvish is scheduled to make his 2016 debut with the Rangers on Saturday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish has now made four rehab starts, increasing his workload by an inning each time out. A .125 opponent batting average through 14 minor league innings is certainly promising, so the Rangers will elect bring back one of the organization's top pitchers in short order. Barring any setbacks, fantasy owners that took a chance on Darvish should be able to count on roughly four months of utility.
