Darvish (4-3) held the A's to two runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out nine in a winning effort Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Pitchers coming back from Tommy John surgery often struggle to regain their control, but Darvish has looked laser-sharp when on the mound this year. He's issued only four walks while striking out 48 batters in his last six starts. The Japanese righty has been a bit prone to the long ball -- both of Wednesday's runs came on solo homers, and he's now given up nine in 59 innings -- but those don't hurt so badly when you're allowing so few baserunners.
