Darvish (6-5) fired seven shutout innings on two hits while striking out 10, but received no decision Friday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish was locked up in a pitcher's duel against Masahiro Tanaka, and the Rangers were unable to get him any run support, keeping him from earning his seventh win of the season. This was just the second time over his last five starts that he's held an opponent to fewer than three runs, but his 3.12 ERA makes him an outstanding fantasy option. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Indians.

Darvish (6-5) took the loss and allowed five runs on eight hits over five innings Sunday against the Mariners. He struck out six and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
The five runs Darvish allowed is the most he has allowed in all of 2017, which is actually pretty impressive. Still, that doesn't excuse him for a dismal start, in which he threw first-pitch strikes to just 11 of the 23 batters he faced. Over his last five starts, he's allowed 15 runs in 30.1 innings. However, he still has a 3.35 ERA on the season.

Darvish (6-4) allowed one run on one hit and three walks across seven innings in Monday's win over the Astros. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish kept the Houston lineup off balance all night, with the only hit against him coming in the form of an RBI single by Alex Bregman after Carlos Beltran had walked in the fourth. He kept the ball down to great effect, inducing 12 ground ball outs, and he completed four one-two-three innings en route to his first victory since May 21. Darvish tied a season low in strikeouts in this one, but he looked quite comfortable in quieting a potent lineup and will carry a tidy 3.03 ERA into Sunday's matchup with the Mariners.

Darvish struck out nine batters over 7.1 innings against the Mets on Wednesday, allowing three runs on three hits (two homers) and a walk. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets could barely touch Darvish -- with the lone major exception of Jay Bruce, who tagged him for two homers that drove in all three runs off the Japanese righty. Darvish has now allowed 12 homers over 82 innings this year, a career-worst rate. On the bright side, he's kept the walks under control in his last two starts and he's still striking batters out at an impressive clip. Despite his long-ball proclivities, Darvish's 3.18 ERA and 1.13 WHIP don't leave much room for complaint, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him improve on those numbers as the season wears on.

Darvish (5-3) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four across six innings to take the loss Saturday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish made one costly mistake, which resulted in a three-run homer to Jose Bautista, leading to his third loss of the campaign. He remains an excellent fantasy option with a 2.97 ERA while fanning more than a batter per inning. He'll make his next start Friday against the Astros.

Darvish (5-2) allowed two runs on five hits and four walks across five innings during Sunday's win over the Tigers. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish's final line was acceptable, but it could have been much worse, as he narrowly escaped a jam with the bases loaded in the first inning and consistently put men on thereafter. He seemed to struggle with his efficiency at times as he worked at a slow pace, resulting in his removal after 105 pitches through five innings of work. Despite shaky moments in this one, Darvish has been excellent over his last six starts, posting a 2.53 ERA, a 10.4 K/9 and a 4-0 record in that span. His next outing will come Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Darvish (4-2) gave up one run on four hits and two walks while striking out nine over seven innings in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
He fired an impressive 70 of 95 pitches for strikes in recording his fifth straight quality start and seventh in nine outings. Darvish still hasn't quite returned to his pre-surgery form -- his current 9.4 K/9 would be a career low since coming over from Japan -- but fantasy GMs have no complaints about his 2.76 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. The 30-year-old will next take the mound Sunday in Detroit.

Darvish (3-2) gave up three runs on seven hits while striking out six over six inning but came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers brought home the winning run in the seventh inning, just after Darvish had left the game, but he still provided them with his fourth straight quality start and sixth of the season. The right-hander will look to get back in the win column Tuesday at home against the Phillies.

Darvish gave up one run and scattered six hits and four walks over seven innings, but didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 3-1 win over the Mariners in 13 innings. He struck out five batters.
EDGE Analysis
For the third start in a row, Darvish exceeded 110 pitches, though Friday's start came with the benefit of having some extra rest after the Rangers decided earlier in the week to push him back a day in the rotation. The Rangers ace has turned in quality starts in six of his seven outings and owns a 2.76 ERA for the season, but his 9.1 K/9 rate probably isn't as lofty as fantasy owners had expected. While Darvish's velocity has been on par with past seasons, his 9.7 percent swinging-strike rate represents a career low, so it may be unwise to expect much recovery in the strikeout category as the season unfolds.

Darvish will have his next scheduled start pushed back from Thursday against the Astros to Friday's series opener against the Mariners, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers recently kicked off a stretch of 17 games in as many days, so the team will build in an extra day of rest for their ace by deploying a six-man rotation this week. With Darvish moving back to Friday, it's expected that A.J. Griffin (ankle) will be activated from the disabled list to take the hill Thursday, allowing both Griffin and Nick Martinez to remain in the rotation for the time being. In addition to gaining some extra recovery time from his 10-strikeout outing against the Angels over the past weekend, Darvish will benefit from a better matchup against a comparatively weaker Mariners lineup.
