D'Arnaud (shoulder), who has been limited to serving as the designated hitter in rehab games, will catch for the first time Saturday, Marc Craig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Last Sunday, D'Arnaud kicked off his rehab assignment, which can last up to 20 days. He now has just shy of two weeks to show that his shoulder is fully healed and can handle the rigors of catching daily. Kevin Plawecki and Rene Rivera continue to man the backstop for the Mets, who could use d'Arnaud's solid bat in the lineup due to absences of Lucas Duda and David Wright.

D'Arnaud is still a week away from catching in a rehab game, Marc Craig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
D'Arnaud isn't expected back until late-June and will not rejoin the team without catching some rehab games first. The 27-year-old is hitting .196/.288/.261 with one RBI in 46 games this season.

D'Arnaud (shoulder) will serve as the DH for High-A St. Lucie on Sunday night, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is good news for both fantasy owners and the Mets, as the team has struggled to get offense from the catcher position in the absence of d'Arnaud. Although the backstop will be able to log some at-bats in the minors, he remains without a timetable to return to throwing, which is the next major step in his recovery. He'll likely need a few starts at catcher in the minors before a realistic return estimate can be determined.

D'Arnaud (shoulder) could DH in a minor league game this weekend, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it sounds like d'Arnaud is feeling well enough to swing the bat, he has not been cleared to catch, and manager Terry Collins reiterated that d'Arnaud is still "a ways away." Injuries have been a recurring theme for the 27-year-old throughout his career, and the offense was not up to snuff when he was on the field this season.

Manager Terry Collins indicated Tuesday that d'Arnaud (shoulder) is not close to going on a rehab assignment, The Record's Matt Ehalt reports.
EDGE Analysis
This only confuses the matter, as there was a report earlier in the day that d'Arnaud could be headed on a rehab assignment this weekend. Apparently he suffered a setback, but hopefully more information will come to light in the coming days regarding where he's at in his recovery. For now he should be considered out indefinitely.

D'Arnaud (shoulder) is closing in on a rehab assignment, ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
The catcher has not participated in live game action since late-April, but he could embark on a rehab stint as early as this weekend. D'Arnaud is nursing a strained rotator cuff strain and figures to require several appearances before returning to New York, where he'll step back in as the primary catcher.

D'Arnaud (shoulder) is throwing with no issue and will ramp up baseball activities on Thursday, Newsday's Marc Carig reports.
EDGE Analysis
He is back in Port St. Lucie working out after spending time at home in California with his own physical therapist. D'Arnaud, who is recovering from a rotator cuff strain, is still at least a couple weeks away from returning to the Mets, but it sounds like he is progressing nicely. Kevin Plawecki will continue to serve as the primary catcher for now.

d"Arnaud (shoulder) isn't expected by assistant general manager John Ricco to be back for at least a couple more weeks, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
d'Arnaud experienced a setback in his rehab program earlier in May, and it seems he will make his return a little later than expected. It is still plausible that the catcher will get a rehab assignment within the next two weeks before his return to major league action.

D'Arnaud (shoulder) built up strength and worked on the range of motion in his ailing shoulder Wednesday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
After experiencing a setback in his rehab process earlier in the month, it seems that d'Arnaud is taking the proper steps to remedy his shoulder and get back on track with his recovery. The catcher expects to go to extended spring training to resume baseball activities soon, so he could be back on track to get limited game action (possibly in the form of a rehab assignment) sometime later this month.

After an examination with team doctor David Altchek, d'Arnaud's diagnosis remains a rotator cuff strain, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. "It's just going to take more time...Clearly he's not ready yet," said assistant GM John Ricco on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Altchek doesn't believe that d'Arnaud requires surgery and has prescribed rest, but the catcher will receive a PRP injection in the near future. In the meantime, d'Arnaud has been shut down from hitting, which effectively puts him in a holding pattern for the foreseeable future.
