Gonsolin was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with right shoulder inflammation, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has apparently been dealing with the shoulder issue on and off, per Eric Stephen of SBNation.com, and he'll head to the injured list after surrendering two runs on a hit and five walks over 1.2 innings Friday against the Diamondbacks. It's unclear how long Gonsolin is expected to be sidelined, but he'll be eligible to be activated Aug. 10 at Philadelphia.

Gonsolin completed 1.2 innings against Arizona on Friday, allowing two runs on one hit and five walks while striking out one. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
With Los Angeles anticipating a bullpen game Saturday, the hope was that Gonsolin could take down a decent chunk of innings. Instead, the right-hander was pulled after walking four batters and allowing two runs in a disastrous second inning. Gonsolin threw only 24 of 55 pitches for strikes overall and has now issued 11 free passes over his past 10.1 innings. He still holds a strong 2.78 ERA on the campaign, but additional struggles could put his rotation spot in jeopardy given the recent acquisition of Max Scherzer and the looming return of Clayton Kershaw (forearm).

Gonsolin (2-1) won Saturday's 1-0 game against Colorado, allowing two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin was masterful against the Rockies on Saturday, allowing just a single runner past first base and requiring 81 pitches to get through 5.1 innings. The innings and pitch count are among season highs as Gonsolin works back into form and the righty owns a sterling 2.38 ERA through nine starts.

Gonsolin (1-1) allowed three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out three over 3.1 innings as he took the loss Monday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin got off to a horrible start, coughing up a two-run homer to Buster Posey and a solo blast to Wilmer Flores in back-to-back at-bats in the first inning. He was able to keep the Giants off the scoreboard for the remainder of his outing, but the righty still struggled to find the strike zone at times and was pulled in the fourth after back-to-back walks. Gonsolin continues to be on a limited pitch count as he builds back up to a normal workload, but he's done a good job of run prevention aside from Monday's performance. He's allowed one run or fewer in all of his other outings; however, he's only finished five innings once, and his 1.47 WHIP and 34:19 K:BB over 28.2 innings don't look great despite his 2.83 ERA. Gonsolin is projected for a favorable home start against the Rockies over the weekend.

Gonsolin received a no-decision in Sunday's 7-4 win against Arizona, allowing one run on four hits and one walk with six strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin permitted his lone run on a Stephen Vogt home run in the fourth as Manager Dave Roberts looks to stretch the righty back into starter form - Gonsolin tossed a season high 83 pitches Sunday. He enters the season's midway point with six starts in eight appearances and a 2.13 ERA, though a 3.41 FIP suggests regression is looming.

Gonsolin took a no-decision during Tuesday's loss despite holding the Marlins scoreless across 5.1 innings. He allowed two hits and a walk while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin turned in his longest and best start of the season, stretching out to 72 pitches, including 45 for strikes. It was the third time in his career that the right-hander has gone at least five innings and not allowed a run. Gonsolin has spent time both in the rotation and out of the bullpen this season while slowly building up his endurance since returning from the injured list in late June. Across 21.1 innings, the 27-year-old has put together a 2.11 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. He lines up to take the mound again Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Gonsolin (1-0) earned the win in relief Thursday against the Nationals after tossing three innings of one-run ball, giving up two hits and three walks while fanning four. He also tossed a wild pitch.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin operated out of the bullpen after the two opening hurlers, Victor Gonzalez and Phil Bickford, combined to pitch the opening frame. The right-hander earned his first win of the season and while he's yet to pitch more than four complete innings in any of his appearances, he's been limiting the damage and owns a 2.81 ERA across 16 innings of work. He's slated to take the mound next week on the road against the Marlins.

Gonsolin will follow opener Victor Gonzalez against the Nationals on Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin has topped out at four innings since returning from the injured list in early June, so following an opener could provide a better opportunity to qualify for a potential victory. The right-hander has pitched well enough despite the shorter starts with a 2.77 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 18:10 K:BB across 13 innings.

Gonsolin allowed one run on one hit and two walks while striking out seven over four innings Friday against the Cubs. He did not factor into the decision and walked in his only plate appearance of the evening.
EDGE Analysis
Gonsolin had his best outing of the season Friday in his fourth start since returning from the injured list. The only hit he allowed was a first-inning solo home run off the bat of Kris Bryant. He would then work around two walks to pitch three more scoreless innings. The 27-year-old tossed 69 pitches over a season-high four innings and also struck out a season-high seven batters, six of which came from his splitter. Gonsolin now owns a 2.77 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 18:10 K:BB over 13 innings and lines up to face the Nationals next week.

Gonsolin (shoulder) is listed the Dodgers' probable pitcher Friday against the Cubs, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was limited to 3.2 innings during Sunday's start after coming out of his previous outing with shoulder soreness, but it appears he won't miss a turn through the rotation, though he could still have some workload limitations. Gonsolin has allowed three runs on nine hits with an 11:8 K:BB over nine innings through his first three starts of 2021.
