The right-hander gave the Dodgers 92 pitches, helping to conserve the bullpen near the tail end of a stretch of 14 games in 12 days. Gonsolin has been excellent for Los Angeles this season, posting a perfect 4-0 record while compiling a 1.64 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over 33 innings. His 30:15 K:BB isn't ideal, but he's giving up so few hits that the walks haven't been much of a hindrance thus far.

Gonsolin (3-0) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up one hit and four walks over five scoreless innings in an 11-1 victory over the Pirates. He struck out five.

The right-hander wasn't exactly sharp, tossing 49 of 84 pitches before exiting, but Pittsburgh couldn't make much solid contact against Gonsolin and his offense handed him a 2-0 lead before he even stepped on the mound. Gonsolin (2-0) earned the win Wednesday against the Giants, tossing five innings and allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out five.

Brandon Crawford got to Gonsolin for a second-inning solo home run, but that was the only tally the Giants were able to record against him Wednesday. The right-hander again didn't go very deep in the outing -- he hasn't thrown more than 83 pitches in a start this season -- but he hung around long enough to earn his second victory. Gonsolin has taken full advantage of his opportunity to begin the season in the rotation, registering a 1.64 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across 22 innings despite a less promising 18:9 K:BB. He's tentatively slated to make his next start in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Gonsolin is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Giants, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Since Los Angeles had two off days this week, manager Dave Roberts didn't immediately commit to having Gonsolin pick up his start this week, but he'll end up staying on turn in the rotation. He's currently slated to pitch next on Tuesday against San Francisco.

Gonsolin (1-0) earned the win Wednesday against Atlanta after allowing one hit with three walks and three strikeouts across six scoreless innings.

The right-hander gave up only one run over his first two starts of the season, but he finally pitched deep enough Wednesday to pick up his first victory. Gonsolin threw 83 pitches as he continues to build up to a full starter's workload and has a 0.69 ERA and 1.23 WHIP through 13 frames this year. He lines up for a start early next week against the Diamondbacks on the road.

Gonsolin didn't factor into the decision during Friday's 3-1 win over Cincinnati, allowing three hits and three walks with two strikeouts in four scoreless innings.
