Ted Lilly (shoulder) and Javy Guerra (shoulder) are on slightly modified throwing schedules for the Dodgers during camp. They're both recovering from arthroscopic shoulder surgery and are throwing a bullpen session every third day rather than every other day. Both pitchers are expected to be ready for Opening Day. "He feels good," manager Don Mattingly said of Lilly. "My biggest question for him is, 'Do you feel like you're rehabbing or do you feel like just one of the guys?' His answer is, 'I just feel like I'm one of the guys. It's just another spring.'"

Ted Lilly (shoulder) said Monday that he will start throwing from a mound in two weeks. Lilly, who underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder in September, began his offseason throwing program in October and is ready to take the next step. Assuming he doesn't encounter any problems, he's expected to be ready to go for the start of spring training. However, with all the Dodgers' options, he's not a given to open the season as part of their rotation.

Ted Lilly (shoulder) has resumed throwing. Lilly is recovering from September arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder. The left-hander was limited to just eight starts this season due to shoulder woes. Barring a setback, he's expected to be ready to roll by the start of spring training.

Updating an earlier item, Ted Lilly (shoulder) will undergo arthroscopic surgery next Saturday. Lilly was hoping to rejoin the Dodgers later this month, but obviously won't be returning this season. Assuming he avoids setbacks, he's expected to be available for the start of spring training in February.

Ted Lilly will undergo arthroscopic surgery to repair his injured left shoulder on Friday. The 36-year-old left-hander has been sidelined since May 23 with the injury. He had hoped that he could overcome the issue through simple rehabilitation, but was never able to progress quickly enough. Assuming all goes well, he should be fully recovered and ready to contribute by the start of the 2013 season.

The Dodgers have decided to shut Ted Lilly down for the season after he was scratched from his latest simulated game on Thursday. Lilly had hoped to return as a reliever before the end of the season, but continues to have problems with his ailing left shoulder. He'll work on rehabbing and strengthening it over the Winter, and should be ready to go for spring training next season.

Ted Lilly (shoulder) threw a 28-pitch simulated game on Wednesday and reported no issues. "I should be able to handle throwing 28 pitches after the amount of rest I've had," Lilly said to reporters following the workout. He has been on the disabled list since May 23 with shoulder stiffness and there is still no timetable for his return to the Dodgers' active roster.

Ted Lilly (shoulder) is not expected to make his rehab start Wednesday at High-A Rancho Cucamonga. Lilly reportedly "didn't look good" after a Sunday workout, and may be dealing with another setback. "I'm thinking Teddy's not going to make his start," manager Don Mattingly said. "He felt something." The Dodgers are expecting Lilly to be back later this season, but in nothing more than a relief role. Given how little progress he's made, he might just shut it down for the year.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Saturday that Ted Lilly (shoulder) will pitch out of the bullpen in September, and only one inning at a time. He'll throw two bullpen sessions this week before resuming a minor league rehab assignment. Lilly is highly unlikely to make a fantasy impact as a one-inning relief specialist and can be dropped in most formats.
