Souza shined in Saturday's win over the Rangers, going 1-for-2 with a home run and two walks. Souza's batting average has stayed below .230 during the entirety of May and Saturday's home run was his first since April 22, when he was hitting .288. There's still some time to bounce back for the recently-acquired 26-year old, but it's going to require cutting down his brutal 36.1 percent strikeout rate in 2015.

Souza is out of the lineup Wednesday, Tampa Bay Times writer Marc Topkin reports. With Souza getting the rest, Logan Forsythe will take up the second spot in the batting order.

Souza is out of the lineup Friday against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Souza will sit in favor of Brandon Guyer, shifting the rest of the Rays' outfield around. While there's no indication he suffered a setback from his forearm cramp, it's worth noting that he left Wednesday's contest because of it.

Souza (forearm) is playing right field and hitting second Thursday against the Red Sox. He left Wednesday's game with a forearm cramp, but was doing his usual routine before Thursday's game and appears to be relatively healthy. Make sure he is in your lineup Thursday as Souza already has four homers and four steals in 59 plate appearances this season.

Souza exited Wesnesday's game with a right forearm cramp. The initial diagnosis of Souza's setback is promising, and it's possible he could avoid missing any further action. Expect the Rays to provide further details on Souza's status prior to the team's next game Thursday against the Red Sox.

Souza left Wednesday's game with an apparent hand injury, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Souza struck out to end the inning and did not come back out to the field. Brandon Guyer took Souza's place in right field, while other switching to fill the lineup left the Rays out of bench players. It is unknown if Souza will end up missing any games.

Souza continued his impressive start to the season on Sunday, going 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI against the Yankees. The 25-year-old outfielder now boasts a .906 OPS to go along with three home runs, 10 RBI and four stolen bases on the season and could be a fantasy star in the making if he can continue this type of production. Souza is locked into the No. 2 spot in the Rays order for now and being given plenty of chances to produce.

Souza (foot) is in the lineup Thursday playing right field and hitting second. He had an ice pack on his left foot after Wednesday's game, but the undisclosed issue won't force him to miss a game. He has hit a home run in back-to-back games and has six hits over his last three games, so owners will want to make sure he is in fantasy lineups Thursday.

Souza was spotted wearing a large ice pack on his left foot following Wednesday's loss to the Blue Jays, but he said he will play Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Souza shrugged off a potential injury when asked about his status following Wednesday's game, so it seems likely he will be able to play Thursday as planned. That would be good news for fantasy owners who saw Souza hit his second home run in as many nights and drive in three runs Tuesday night.

Souza went 3-for-5 Tuesday with a monster home run, two runs, two strikeouts and a stolen base against the Blue Jays. His home run was estimated at 463 feet to dead center, the longest home run for the Rays since a 466-foot shot by Carlos Pena in 2009. Souza played a key role in the Rays getting a 3-2 win, bunting for a single in the eighth, stealing second base and then advancing to third base on the throw and eventually scoring the winning run. Despite Tuesday's outstanding offensive performance, Souza's average was only raised to .250, and he has 11 strikeouts in just 24 at-bats. Hopefully going forward he can continue to showcase his power and speed combination which was on full display Tuesday.
