Souza went 3-for-5 Tuesday with a monster home run, two runs, two strikeouts and a stolen base against the Blue Jays.
His home run was estimated at 463 feet to dead center, the longest home run for the Rays since a 466-foot shot by Carlos Pena in 2009. Souza played a key role in the Rays getting a 3-2 win, bunting for a single in the eighth, stealing second base and then advancing to third base on the throw and eventually scoring the winning run. Despite Tuesday's outstanding offensive performance, Souza's average was only raised to .250, and he has 11 strikeouts in just 24 at-bats. Hopefully going forward he can continue to showcase his power and speed combination which was on full display Tuesday.
