Moya was recalled and could start Thursday in place of the struggling Justin Upton, reports MLive.com.
EDGE Analysis
Moya has been tearing the stitches out of the ball in Triple-A, leading the Mud Hens in just about every offensive category (.310 with 11 doubles, nine home runs, 24 RBI, a .627 slugging percentage and a .968 OPS). And he's lowered his strikeout rate from 32.4 per cent (2015) to below 25 this season. Upton has struggled to start the season and leads the league in strikeouts (53 in 131 at bats). Moya will need to make the most of his opportunity in order to stick in the majors.

Moya will be recalled from Triple-A Toledo, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
After optioning Tyler Collins to Toledo on Wednesday, the Tigers will now turn to Moya as a reserve outfielder and pinch-hit option off the bench. The lefty certainly has the minor league numbers to merit a promotion, slashing .310/.341/.627 with nine home runs over 126 at-bats this season. If he can work his way into the lineup while with the team, Moya could provide sneaky value as a minimum-priced option in daily formats.

Moya went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in Thursday's season debut for Triple-A Toledo.
EDGE Analysis
One of the top hitting prospects for the Tigers, Moya has struggled with strikeouts during his time in the minors, though the 24-year-old certainly has some pop. He hit 58 home runs between 2014 and 2015, though also fanned a staggering 338 times over that span. He will attempt to prove that he can hit for average and make more consistent contact at the higher levels.

The Tigers optioned Moya to Triple-A Toledo on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Moya made a big impression this spring by going 11-for-30 (.367) with four home runs and eight RBI. However, he just reached the Double-A level for the first time last season and would not have seen regular playing time with the big club had he made the cut, so the Tigers decided to send him to Triple-A for more seasoning. Maya did see action with the Tigers each of the last two seasons, so there is a good chance he is called up again at some point in 2016.

Moya became the Tigers' team leader in home runs this spring after hitting his fourth home run on Sunday. He's also cut back on his strikeouts, a trait that has kept him in the minors so far in his career.
EDGE Analysis
The 6-foot-7, 260-pound outfielder has bashed those four homers in just 19 plate appearances; he's hitting .444 with eight hits and eight RBI. Moya has prodigious power, but his knock has always been plate discipline. However, he's using a new approach and has struck out just three times this spring. Moya could crack the team's 40-man roster coming out of spring, but will likely start the season at Triple-A to make sure that changed approach becomes habit.

Moya worked hard in winter ball and was able to cut back on his strikeout rate, but he heads into spring training penciled in at Triple-A Toledo, reports MLive.com.
EDGE Analysis
The Tigers have all five outfield spots locked up for the 2016 and he's behind Justin Upton and J.D. Martinez, who have the two corner spots locked up. His future in the Tigers outfield lies in his ability to continue to cut down strikeouts -- he has 750 in 2,341 AB over seven minor league seasons.

Moya hit .298/.350/.466 with four home runs and 27 RBI in 131 at bats with Toros del Este in the Dominican League this winter.
EDGE Analysis
Moya played winter ball ostensibly to work on his game against left-handed pitching after hitting .213 with 56 strikeouts in 164 at bats against lefties for Toledo (AAA) in 2015. There seems to be some progress -- Moya went 24-for 77 (.312) against lefties with two home runs, 19 RBI and 23 strikeouts. His future is tied to his ability to offset those Ks.

Moya is in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Moya's first big league start was pushed back due to rain, but he only had to wait an extra day. Moya will start in left field and hit seventh in the Tigers' batting order Saturday night.

Moya was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, Anthony French of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Moya will join the Tigers' expanded roster after spending the bulk of the season at Triple-A and posting a .239/.282/.419 slash line. Moya, who hit 20 home runs in 125 games, could see limited playing time at the corner outfield spots given the Tigers' position as non-contenders.

After starting July with a flourish, Moya has gone 3-for-27 with 8 strikeouts in his last seven games and sits with a .225/.281/.426 slash line.
He has 109 SO in 333 combined innings (A+/AAA) and has struggled to just a .188 average at home this season. He has spent considerable time this season working on his mechanics, but he is still prone to long stretches of inconsistent performance. The Tigers are likely to leave him at Triple-A to continue to work out the kinks in his swing -- they promoted Jefry Marte instead of Moya when Miguel Cabrera hit the disabled list.
