After starting July with a flourish, Moya has gone 3-for-27 with 8 strikeouts in his last seven games and sits with a .225/.281/.426 slash line. He has 109 SO in 333 combined innings (A+/AAA) and has struggled to just a .188 average at home this season. He has spent considerable time this season working on his mechanics, but he is still prone to long stretches of inconsistent performance. The Tigers are likely to leave him at Triple-A to continue to work out the kinks in his swing -- they promoted Jefry Marte instead of Moya when Miguel Cabrera hit the disabled list.
