An MRI on Pearce's strained abdomen showed no tears, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports. The news is generally positive for Pearce, who was forced from Friday's game after three innings as a result of the abdominal injury. He does not have any tears nor is his issue related to his oblique or intercostal muscles, so he's merely day-to-day. That said, it would not be a surprise if Pearce remained limited at least through the weekend.

Pearce will have an MRI on Saturday after leaving Friday's game in the fourth inning with an abdominal strain, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. It would hardly be surprising to see the Orioles hold Pearce out of the lineup Saturday, even if the results of his MRI are favorable. For now, he's simply considered day-to-day, as there's no clear timetable for his return.

Pearce left Friday's game in the fourth inning, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Pearce was set to be pinch hit for in the bottom of the third inning, but his replacement was left in the on-deck circle. Jimmy Paredes then replaced him in the lineup, taking over at third base while Chris Davis moved back to first. The team will likely release the cause of his removal in the near future.

Pearce hit a solo home run in Thursday's 5-4 win over Tampa Bay. It was his 16th homer of the season. Pearce is in the midst of a nice 11-game hitting streak, with five home runs during that stretch. His production had tailed off in the early part of August, so he wasn't playing much. That's changed now, as he's started every game during the aforementioned hitting streak.

Pearce went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored Monday against the Rays. Pearce is currently on an eight-game hitting streak where he has four home runs, five RBI and eight runs scored. He is having by far the best season of his career and is heating up again.

Pearce will be in the lineup for the eighth consecutive game Monday against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. He'll play first base and bat second in the order. Pearce's offensive surge earlier this summer put him on the fantasy radar in just about all fantasy formats, but once his production tapered off, he began to settle into more of a part-time role. However, the season-ending injury to Manny Machado appears to have created a renewed opportunity for Pearce, who has reemerged as a regular at first base while Chris Davis moves over to third. He's collected hits in each of his last seven starts, producing five doubles, three homers and four RBI. His hot bat and favorable placement in the lineup probably makes Pearce worthy of another look if he's available on the waiver wire.

Pearce went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Cubs. Pearce provided Baltimore's only offense in the 2-1 defeat. After struggling earlier this month, Pearce has started to heat up again, putting together a seven-game hitting streak. In that span, he's gone 10-for-30 (.300) with three homers, five doubles, and four RBI.

Pearce homered and doubled in Sunday's win over the Indians. After a scorching May and June for Pearce, he tapered off in July (.231/.322/.359) and has had his playing time severely curtailed. The homer was his first since July 10.

Pearce is out of the lineup again Wednesday against the Blue Jays, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. Despite his .288/.359/.502 batting line this season, Pearce appears to be the odd man out of the mix in the outfield and at first base, with Chris Davis getting the majority of the starts there. He has now sat for five of the last six games, and will likely continue receiving sparse playing time going forward.

Steve Pearce fanned all four times up Friday versus the Mariners. Pearce is in his first minislump in a while, going 1-for-16 with eight strikeouts in his last four games. He was so good for the Orioles for two months that he figures to get a little rope. However, if he doesn't pick it up these next few days, the team might go hunting for another left field/DH option before the deadline.
