Clevenger exited Wednesday's game with a fractured third metacarpal bone on his throwing hand, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clevenger reportedly took a foul tip off the throwing hand and it appears the issue will hold him out for an extended period of time. Mike Zunino, who is slashing .282/ with 15 home runs at Triple-A Tacoma this season seems the likely candidate for recall as a replacement for Clevenger, but that should be revealed when Clevenger is moved to the disabled list.

Clevenger went 2-for-3 with a double, walk and run scored in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran catcher has hit safely in his last three starts, with the double Friday serving as his first two-bagger of the season, and only his second extra-base hit. Clevenger provides nominal offense in his platoon with Chris Ianetta behind the plate, and is slashing .216/.298/.294 over 51 at-bats this season.

Clevenger worked a 10-pitch at-bat Saturday to single in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
The Seattle bullpen didn't hold the lead, but it was still a good night for Clevenger. As the backup to Chris Ianetta, Clevenger plays once or twice a week. He has only six hits in 32 at-bats but he has three walks (seven strikeouts) and his lone extra-base hit is a home run. He'll continue in that role with most of his appearances coming against right-handers.

Clevenger went 0-for-4 at the plate in Wednesday's loss to Houston, striking out three times along the way.
EDGE Analysis
After a disappointing performance against Houston, Clevenger's batting average continued to fall and currently sits at .150 for the season. Clevenger, who has never played in more than 69 games in a season or had a batting average above .287, is unlikely to become a regular starter for the Mariners. Rather, he will continue to play occasionally if starter, Chris Iannetta, needs a day to rest. If Clevenger's batting fails to improve, the team could consider bringing up Mike Zunino, who currently has a .400/.437/.800 line in Triple-A Tacoma after a shaky 2015 campaign with the Mariners.

Clevenger is the favorite to win the backup catcher job, though he's been pushed in camp by Rob Brantly, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mariners traded Mark Trumbo and his contract for Clevenger in December. It would be a little surprising if he didn't win the job, but it's also surprising there's even a competition considering Brantly wasn't acquired until March 12. Both players are out of options, but the Mariners likely will try to sneak one through waivers. Both are also left-handed to start Chris Iannetta's right-handed bat. The backup figures to catch about 50-60 games.

Clevenger was traded to the Mariners on Tuesday in exchange for Mark Trumbo, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
A week after signing Chris Iannetta to a one-year deal, the M's have acquired Clevenger to further bolster their depth behind the plate, in the process avoiding an arb case with Trumbo. Clevenger hit .287 with just a 12.4 percent strikeout rate in 30 games last season, but he figures to play behind Iannetta and won't even be much of a daily option when given an opportunity considering his lack of pop.

Clevenger is in the lineup on Monday, batting sixth as the designated hitter, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Orioles are deploying the rare three-catcher lineup, using Matt Wieters, Caleb Joseph and Clevenger on Monday. With at-bats hard to come by for the 29-year-old catcher, the Orioles will do their best to keep him in the lineup in any way possible.
