Cishek got two outs in the ninth to record his 16th save in Friday's 8-4 victory over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The Mariners closer was highly effective, needing only nine pitches to record his second straight save. Cishek got six of those offerings across the strike zone, helping him to secure his third consecutive scoreless outing. EDGE Analysis
Cishek needed a perfect inning after a string of struggles. He walked three in his previous outing and allowed one run each in his two before that. Overall, he's been effective this year with 39 strikeouts and 10 walks in 31 innings. His four blown saves is tied for the AL lead, however.

Cishek threw a perfect ninth inning against the Padres on Thursday to earn his 13th save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander brought a relatively quiet end to an otherwise wild game -- the Mariners rallied from down 12-2 to take the lead in the seventh inning. Cishek has now converted consecutive save chances since blowing back-to-back opportunities last month. He has a firm hold on the closer job in Seattle.

Cishek pitched a perfect ninth inning while striking out one Sunday to record his 12th save of the season in a 5-4 win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
After hitting a rough patch in the middle of May and blowing three saves in a week, Cishek seems to have regained his bearings and has struck out three over two clean innings in his last two appearances. Another stumble, however, could force the Mariners to look for other options in the closer role, so consider him to be on a fairly short leash.
