Athletics acquired OF Seth Smith from the Rockies for RHP Guillermo Moscoso and LHP Josh Outman. The Rockies had been working to trade Smith for most of this winter, and finally found a match on Monday with the A's. The 29-year-old outfielder batted .284/.347/.482 with 15 home runs last season for Colorado. He should add some power potential and veteran experience to the young Oakland outfield.
