Seth Smith admits that not getting much playing time against left-handers has hurt his confidence. "Yeah, it has," he said. "You come to the field and you see you are not in there and you feel like you are doing something wrong, which is not always the case. But you read it that you are not good enough to be playing today and it hurts a little bit." Smith is batting just .214 against southpaw this season and has a .196 mark against them in his career. He'll get a chance against lefty Mark Buehrle Wednesday and again on Friday against Danny Duffy.

Seth Smith clubbed two homers and collected three RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 win against the Indians. Smith just keeps hitting. Through 209 at-bats, he's batting .316 with a .925 OPS, eight homers and 32 RBI. Even though he'll lose at-bats to Eric Young and Ryan Spilborghs at times and struggles against lefties, Smith is ownable in mixed leagues.
