Seth Smith went 2-for-3 and drove home five runs, leading the A's to a wild 14-9 come-from-behind victory over the Orioles on Friday. Smith came into the game to pinch hit for Jonny Gomes in the sixth inning with the bases loaded and two outs, and promptly delivered a three-run double to give the A's an 8-6 lead. He later added a two-run double as part of a six run ninth inning off Jim Johnson, leading the A's to victory. Smith is now hitting .251 with 11 homers and 38 RBI in his first season in Oakland.
