Dyson (biceps) threw on the field both Friday and Saturday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's a positive sign that Dyson was able to throw on back-to-back days. We'll likely know more after he is able to take the next step in his recovery, which should be a bullpen session.

Dyson was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with right biceps tendinitis, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins may already have some buyer's remorse for Dyson, whom they acquired from the Giants on Wednesday with the hope that he would bolster the bullpen. Instead, Dyson served up six runs on six hits and two walks while retiring only two batters across his two appearances before the Twins shut him down with the injury. An exact timetable for Dyson's return isn't known, but the fact that he's dealing with an injury to his throwing arm suggests that he could be sidelined for longer than the 10-day minimum.

Dyson was officially added to the Twins' active roster and will be available out of the bullpen for Thursday's series finale in Miami.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins optioned fellow reliever Sean Poppen to Triple-A Rochester to clear a spot for Dyson, who was acquired Wednesday from the Giants in exchange for a trio of prospects. Dyson should immediately claim a key setup role in front of closer Taylor Rogers after submitting a tidy 2.47 ERA and 0.90 WHIP across 51 innings with San Francisco.

Dyson was traded from the Giants to the Twins on Wednesday in exchange for Prelander Berroa, Jaylin Davis and Kai-Wei Teng, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dyson has been rock solid for the Giants this season, compiling a 2.47 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 47:7 K:BB in 51 innings. He should slot in near the back-end of Minnesota's bullpen, likely in a setup role.

Dyson picked up the save against the Cubs on Monday, working around a hit and a walk to fire a scoreless ninth inning and close out the Giants' 5-4 victory. He didn't record a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Tasked with protecting a one-run lead, Dyson allowed a couple of baserunners, but managed to snuff out the rally and pick up his second save of the season. He doesn't figure to see many opportunities like this with Will Smith having a lockdown season as the Giants' closer, but Dyson is having a solid year in his own right, as he's posted a 2.57 ERA, a 0.92 WHIP and a 47:7 K:BB over 49 innings.

Dyson (4-1) pitched a scoreless 10th inning, striking out two and earning the win in Friday's 1-0 extra-inning win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Dyson became the pitcher of record when the Giants got the only run of the game on an error in the bottom of the 10th. The reliever has a 2.68 ERA and 0.91 WHIP over 47 innings this season. He owns a sparkling 46:6 K:BB in 45 appearances and has been one of the most consistent relievers in a strong Giants bullpen.

Dyson picked up his third win of the season after firing two scoreless innings while surrendering one hit and striking out two in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Starter Madison Bumgarner was forced to leave the contest after being struck on elbow by a line drive in the second inning. Dyson was the first reliever to enter the game, and was awarded the win over Reyes Moronta (who also tossed two scoreless) by the official scorer. The Giants' bullpen has been the team's greatest strength this season, and Dyson's excellent performance (2.36 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 13 holds) is one of several contributing factors.

Dyson tossed a clean inning in Monday's 3-2 win over the Dodgers en route to his ninth hold.
EDGE Analysis
Dyson's strong start to June (five shutout innings with three strikeouts) has coincided with the Giants' recent hot streak, resulting in four consecutive holds. The 31-year-old now owns a 2.45 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 7.1 K/9 through 33 innings. Dyson is part of a right-handed setup carousel in front of closer Will Smith, but could find himself closer to saves if the the Giants deal their dominant closer to a contender.

Dyson owns a 2.79 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 28 strikeouts over 29 innings this season.
EDGE Analysis
Dyson has also chipped in five holds as a part of a three-headed righty setup stable with Reyes Moronta and Mark Melancon. Dyson is proving that last year's resurgence was no fluke, and he is one of several options that could take over in the ninth should dominant closer Will Smith get moved as we approach the trade deadline.

Dyson recorded a pair of outs without allowing a baserunner and struck out one in Monday's 12-4 loss to the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The brief outing lowered Dyson's ERA to 3.06 through 17.2 innings. The 31-year-old's 8.7 K/9 is currently the second-highest mark of his career, and that has actually been accompanied by his lowest walk rate (1.5 BB/9). The Giants boast one of the league's best bullpens, which limits Dyson to a middle relief/setup role. If the veteran arm keeps these ratios up, then he will be a name to monitor closer to the trade deadline in the event he is either traded to a team in need of a closer, or moved up the bullpen depth chart due to another arm being traded.
