Dyson allowed one earned run on three hits in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday against the Dodgers, blowing the save.
EDGE Analysis
The former Ranger had converted his first six save opportunities with San Francisco, but a pair of singles by Chase Utley and Yasiel Puig quickly put an end to the streak. Despite carrying moderate fantasy value thanks to his current closing role, Dyson's terrible 6.32 ERA and bloated 1.89 WHIP put him in the bottom of the barrel of baseball's closers.

Dyson struck out one Pirate in a perfect ninth Wednesday, recording his sixth save.
EDGE Analysis
The switch to San Francisco continues to treat him well, but Dyson is still a lower-end closing option -- the Giants are a bad team, and Dyson is far from an elite bullpen talent. But he has a ninth-inning job, which means he's worth owning in most formats.

Dyson worked around a hit, a walk and a hit batsman while recording a strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday against the Indians, netting his fifth save in the process.
EDGE Analysis
He teetered on the brink of disaster by loading the bases with two outs, but Dyson was able to get Jose Ramirez on a flyout to end the ballgame. The veteran reliever has had a boatload more success in San Francisco than he did with the Rangers earlier this year, and with Mark Melancon's return still not imminent, it appears Dyson will continue holding down the ninth-inning role for a little while yet.

Dyson gave up a run on three hits but still managed to record his fourth save Friday against San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
This is the kind of shakiness that preceded Dyson's demise in Texas. He allowed a ridiculous 31 hits over 16.2 innings for the Rangers and has now allowed 13 hits over 13.1 innings with the Giants. Dyson has been solid for San Francisco thus far, with a 3.38 ERA and four saves in as many chances, but he won't last long if he can't keep runners off the bases.

Dyson needed only seven pitches to retire the Tigers in order for his fourth save Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
All four of those saves have come since his move to San Francisco, and Dyson has a 3.48 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with the Giants. He put up a 10.80 ERA and 2.58 WHIP over 17 appearances with Texas, so this is quite the change of pace. Dyson looks to be a relatively steady closing option while Mark Melancon (elbow) remains out.

Dyson pitched a perfect ninth inning while recording one strikeout Sunday against the Pirates to pick up his second save as a member of the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
He now has two saves in two days, and appears to have established himself as the Giants' closer for as long as Mark Melancon (elbow) is out. This is likely quite frustrating for any of Dyson's owners who understandably dropped him after he pitched his way off the Rangers' roster earlier this season. Of course, he is more than capable of self-combusting once again, but for those searching for waiver wire saves, he is a great short-term add.

Dyson pitched a scoreless inning on one hit while striking out one to pick up his first save with the Giants Saturday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Dyson came on to protect a one-run lead in the 11th inning, and despite allowing a baserunner, was able to close out the contest. Despite having posted unacceptable ERA and WHIP levels all season, if he continues to pick up save opportunities while Mark Melancon (elbow) is on the disabled list, he'll continue to have fantasy value based on his ability to close out games.

Dyson will take over the role of closer with Mark Melancon heading to the disabled list due to an elbow injury, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being acquired by the Giants on June 6, Dyson has accumulated an ERA of 4.91 with a 10:3 K:BB in eight appearances on the mound. It remains yet to be seen whether Dyson will indeed stick in the role during Melancon's stay on the DL, but for time being, the 29-year-old is the ninth-inning man for San Francisco. Following a 38-save campaign just a year ago with the Rangers, Dyson has struggled this season, but will have the opportunity to claim a key role in the Giants bullpen moving forward if he can revert back to his 2016 form.

Dyson was charged with two runs while recording just one out in Saturday's loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants took a chance on the former closer when Texas designated Dyson for assignment early June. Despite tossing a handful of clean outings, two blowups have left him with a 7.71 ERA in San Francisco after posting an ugly 9.56 ERA with the Rangers.

Dyson was acquired by the Giants on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants are taking a shot on Dyson with hopes that the former closer can rediscover his 2016 form that netted him a 2.43 ERA and 38 saves with the Rangers. In exchange for Dyson's services, the Giants will be sending cash considerations as well as a player to be named later to the Rangers. The 29-year-old posted a 10.80 ERA over 16.2 innings before being designated for assignment last week. He will likely kick things off in low-leverages situations with the Giants for the time being.
