Tejada will likely split time at shortstop with Wilmer Flores while Asdrubal Cabrera (knee) is out, Adam Rubin of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is nothing new for Tejada, who split the starting shortstop position with Flores for most of the 2015 season. Both are right-handed and share a similar hitting and fielding profile, so the decision on which to use will rest on which way Terry Collins is leaning. Rubin also notes that there was some trade chatter around Tejada before Cabrera's injury, so that might be something to keep an eye on when Cabrera is healthy again.

Tejada, who entered the game when Asdrubal Cabrera was forced out with an injury, homered Thursday against the Cardinals. He could be in line for more time if Cabrera is sidelined due to the injury.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera is due for an MRI on his sore left knee. If the scan shows anything other than some soreness, he could miss some time. Tejada and Wilmer Flores would split time at the position. There has been some rumblings that Tejada could be in danger of getting waived or traded due to his $3 million salary, but any extended absence by Cabrera could keep Tejada in New York.

Tejada primarily worked at third base Sunday in Mets camp, Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tejada saw 18 starts at third in 2015 after an entire career spent in the middle infield. With Asdrubal Cabrera now occupying shortstop and Wilmer Flores still around, the hot corner might be Tejada's best shot at semi-regular playing time, considering Flores hasn't played more than one game at third base since 2010.

Tejada, who fractured his fibula as a result of Chase Utley's late, takeout slide in the playoffs, has shed his walking boot and is working out in Panama, ESPN New York reports
EDGE Analysis
Tejada may report to Port St. Lucie on Monday, three weeks before the required reporting date. He is slated to be the back up at second base and shortstop, though it's still possible the Mets try and deal him to clear some salary or designate him for assignment to create room on the 40-man roster.

Tejada agreed to a one-year, $3 million contract with the Mets on Friday, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tejada will get a pay bump of $1.12 million in his second year of arbitration, now putting that part of the offseason behind him. The 26-year-old will now look to unseat Asdrubal Cabrera for playing time at shortstop, though he'll likely enter spring training behind the veteran on the depth chart.

The Mets tendered contracts to all eight of their arbitration-eligible players, including Tejada (fractured right fibula), before Thursday's deadline, ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a reversal from what looked like what happened, as the Mets had appeared to be set to cut Tejada loose. Tejada made $1.88 million in 2015 and could earn between $2.5-3 million if he goes to arbitration. As of now, he likely will fill a back up infield role, seeing time at shortstop and second base.

Tejada (fractured right fibula) might get non-tendered by the Mets, ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tejada made $1.88 million in 2015 and could earn $3 million if he goes to arbitration. New York may be reluctant to pay that much to a backup shortstop, who has broken his fibula twice. However, Tejada is coming off a rebound campaign and $3 million isn't way above the norm for a back up middle infielder, so a call on his status may not come until right before the arb deadline.

Tejada (leg) will not need to undergo surgery, Mike Vorkunov of NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tejada suffered a non-displaced fractured right fibula as a result of a hard slide by Chase Utley in Game 2 of the NLDS. Not needing surgery is definitely an encouraging sign, and the club is hopeful that he'll be ready in time for the start of next season.

EDGE Analysis
Tejada was hit in the leg on a slide from Chase Utley at second base. He'll miss the rest of the postseason.

Tejada went 3-for-3 with an RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
The second-half version of Tejada has shown a drastically better batting eye -- he owns a 19:20 BB:K -- and been rewarded for it with a .313 batting average over 147 at-bats. There's still no power or speed in the profile, though, so Tejada's fantasy utility largely remains limited to NL-only formats.
