Tejada is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Relative to the norm, Tejada has heated up at the plate with five hits over the last five games, which is likely good enough to secure him the primary starting gig at shortstop for now. However, he'll still likely give way to Paul Janish a couple times each week, with Tuesday's game representing one of those occasions.

Tejada will start at shortstop and bat eighth Sunday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
It appeared Tejada had ceded the starting shortstop job to Paul Janish after being limited to a bench role for four straight games, but manager Buck Showalter has since decided to turn the position back over to the veteran. Tejada will pick up his fourth straight start Sunday after recording his third two-hit performance of the season a day earlier while Janish hits the bench once again.

Tejada is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
With Tejada riding the pine for the fourth consecutive contest, it appears safe to conclude that Paul Janish has unseated him as the Orioles' primary shortstop while J.J. Hardy (wrist) is sidelined. With six hits in 33 at-bats (.182 average) on the season, Tejada won't offer much fantasy upside even if he settles back into an everyday role down the line.

Tejada is not in Sunday's lineup, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
There is no concern of any injury for Tejada, but Paul Janish will fill-in at shortstop for the second straight game against the Rays. Tejada has been in the midst of a slump at the plate, but should return to the lineup for Tuesday's contest following an off day Monday.

Tejada isn't in Saturday's lineup against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tejada has struggled at the dish lately, collecting just one hit in 16 at-bats over his last eight games. He'll get a day to clear his head Saturday, while Paul Janish will take over at shortstop and bat ninth for the Orioles.

Tejada is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Tejada is expected to see the bulk of the at-bats at shortstop with J.J. Hardy (wrist) out of commission for at least a month, but he'll take a seat Wednesday following back-to-back starts. Paul Janish will spell him in the field and bat ninth.

Tejada will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
At least in the short term, Tejada appears set to pick up everyday at-bats at shortstop following the news that J.J. Hardy (wrist) won't be able to resume baseball activities for at least 4-to-6 weeks. As the owner of a career .326 on-base percentage and with little semblance of pop and speed, Tejada doesn't project to offer much fantasy value in spite of the elevated role, especially while he bats at the bottom of the order.

With J.J. Hardy (wrist) facing the possibility of an extended absence, Tejada could be in line for a major uptick in playing time, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hardy was hit by a pitch Sunday, and his X-rays came back with discouraging results. More tests will be run Monday, but initial reports suggest Hardy could be sidelined for quite a while. Assuming that holds true, Tejada is the Orioles last man standing at short (Ryan Flaherty is already on the DL with a shoulder strain). Third baseman Manny Machado can shift over, but giving Tejada a crack at the starting gig makes the most sense for now.

Tejada will start at third base and bat ninth Sunday against the Yankees, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
It will be the third straight start for Tejada, who has been filling in at the hot corner while Manny Machado (wrist) tends to an injury. Orioles manager Buck Showalter has said that he doesn't expect Machado to require a trip to the disabled list, so Tejada's hold on an everyday role may not last beyond Sunday.

Tejada was called up by the Orioles on Tuesday, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Orioles acquired Tejada from the Yankees on Sunday for cash, and he's set to assume Paul Janish's role as the team's utility infielder with Janish designated for assignment. Tejada, 27, has hit .252/.327/.320 with 10 homers and 16 stolen bases in 616 career games in the major leagues (2262 plate appearances). He figures to stick around until Ryan Flaherty (shoulder) is good to go.
