Tejada was traded to the Orioles on Sunday in exchange for cash considerations.
EDGE Analysis
The infielder hasn't set foot on a major-league diamond this season, and as such, will report to Baltimore's Triple-A affiliate in Norfolk. Tejada's numbers in 2017 with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre aren't awful (.269 average, 21 RBI, six homers 15:17 BB:K in 130 at-bats), so it'll be interesting to see if he'll get a shot with Baltimore as the season progresses.

Tejada was assigned to the Yankees' minor-league camp Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Even with everyday shortstop Didi Gregorius (shoulder) expected to open the season on the DL, Tejada wasn't able to secure a roster spot out of spring training after slashing .286/.366/.429 in 35 at-bats during Grapefruit League play. Ronald Torreyes and Rob Refsnyder look like manager Joe Girardi's preferred utility infield options for the big club, so Tejada will have to bide his time at Triple-A Wilkes-Barre/Scranton before an opportunity opens up for him.

Tejada signed a minor league deal with the Yankees on Monday that includes an invitation to spring training, ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will enter the year behind Didi Gregorius and Ronald Torreyes on the organizational depth chart at shortstop. If one of those two were to suffer an injury, Tejada could join the active roster, as the Yankees' shortstop prospects are not quite ready to help out. Still, as a glove over hit shortstop, he is unlikely to offer much fantasy value, even if he finds his way into the big league mix.

Tejada cleared waivers Tuesday and was outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento.
EDGE Analysis
After being designated for assignment on Jul. 20, Tejada successfully went through waivers unclaimed and will return to the Giants' organization. However, now that he's lost his spot on the 40-man roster, Tejada may not be back up with the big league club until much later in the season unless the Giants experience a rash of injuries to the infield.

To make room for Matt Cain, Tejada has been designated for assignment by the Giants on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old has struggled this season, hitting .167/.247/.242 in 66 at-bats with both the Cardinals and the Giants. Tejada has now been designated for assignment for the second time this season and will wait to see if he is claimed by another team. If not, he can accept an assignment to Triple-A Sacramento.

Tejada is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
After being San Francisco's main option at third for the last week, Tejada will be replaced by Conor Gillaspie. Tejada and Gillaspie will likely continue to share time at third base after the All-Star break, especially if Tejada fails to improve his batting, as he's hitting just .179/.281/.286 over the last 14 days.

Tejada will start at third base for Wednesday's game against the A's after getting his contract purchased by the Giants prior to the game, Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tejada is in the lineup at third base while batting ninth Wednesday, which will be his first game back in the majors since May 26 when he was a member of the Cardinals. He was just 6-for-34 during his time with St. Louis, batting a quadriceps injury but will bring solid defense to the Giants infield while he is with the club.

Tejada has agreed to a minor league contract with the Giants, KNBR reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tejada was limited by a quadriceps injury early and was just 6-for-34 (.176) in 23 games for the Cardinals earlier this season. He will serve as organizational infield depth for the Giants, who recently lost Kelby Tomlinson to a thumb injury and called up Ramiro Pena to replace him. In 116 games for the Mets last year, he hit .261/.338/.350, as he brings decent plate discipline and a solid glove to the shortstop position.

Tejada was designated for assignment by the Cardinals on Saturday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tejada dealt with a quad injury early in the season which kept him sidelined until April 19. He never appeared to fully regroup upon his return, as he has been just 6-for-34 from the plate this season. Tejada will now go through waivers, and if he is unclaimed he'll likely be out righted to Triple-A Memphis.

Rubén Tejada
SS FA
Tejada has a .160/.179/.240 line since returning from a quadricep injury that had him benched until April 19.
EDGE Analysis
Tejada hasn't found much rhythm since returning from injury last month, nor has he had many opportunities to do so. His appearances have primarily been as a pinch hitter, rather than starting in the middle infield. With Aledmys Diaz having a strong rookie season, hitting .376 with 14 doubles and six home runs, it's unlikely that Tejada will seeing more of the field anytime soon.
