Tejada had a big game Wednesday against the Phillies, going 2-for-4 with an in-the-park homer and four RBI.
EDGE Analysis
The homer stayed in the park, but Phillies right fielder Domonic Brown went out of it (and into the right-field stands) after missing the ball, letting Tejada race around the bases for the first non-fence-clearing long ball of his career. He later added a run-scoring groundout and an RBI single, rounding out the light-hitting shortstop's second multi-RBI effort in 89 games this season.

Tejada went 0-for-4 in the Mets' 1-0 loss to the Cubs on Tuesday and is now 9-for-63 since June 6. Before this cold stretch, Tejada was red-hot at the plate but has hot the skids at the plate. With David Wright (back) still out and Dilson Herrera optioned down, Tejada is set to play daily at shortstop. However, if he continues to slump, the Mets may have re-evaluate their infield alignment.

Tejada (elbow) is in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. A left elbow contusion, the result of being hit by a Johnny Cueto pitch, forced Tejada to leave Friday's game early. He downplayed the injury after the game, and it seems his optimism was justified, as the training staff has OK'd him to take the field Saturday. He will man third base and bat second against right-hander Mike Lorenzen.

Tejada has been diagnosed with a left elbow contusion, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports. X-rays were negative after Tejada was hit by a Johnny Cueto pitch in the fourth inning of Friday's game. It's an encouraging development, but Tejada's status for the rest of the weekend is uncertain. Eric Campbell replaced Tejada at third base Friday.

Tejada could be the Mets' primary shortstop once Daniel Murphy is activated from the DL, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. Wilmer Flores appears headed for second base once Murphy is activated, which could happen in the near future. This will allow Tejada to continue to see everyday at-bats, although he remains a low-end fantasy option.

Tejada (ankle) is out of Sunday's lineup against the Braves, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Tejada injured his ankle on a slide Saturday, and it will cost him Sunday's contest as well. As a result, Eric Campbell will receive the start at third base and bat eighth for the Mets in his place. With the club off again Monday, a return to the lineup Tuesday seems possible if nothing comes through indicating the injury is serious.

Tejada twisted his ankle while absorbing a slide at third base, Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports. Tejada was able to remain in the game, which is a good sign for his status in Sunday's series finale. If Tejada has to miss any time, Eric Campbell could take the playing time.

Tejada has been activated from the paternity list and will start at third base Sunday against the Braves, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Tejada has been unavailable to the Mets since Thursday due to the birth of his child, but will return to make his eighth start of the season at the hot corner. A corresponding move for his activation has yet to be announced.
