Ruben Tejada (quad) is expected to return to Grapefruit League action on Wednesday against the Cardinals. Tejada was scratched on Monday night because of a cramp in his right quad. It was never a major concern.

Tejada just continues to hit, now hitting a blistering .321 on the season with a homer and 19 RBI. While he offers very little in the power or speed departments, he can still be an asset with his plus average and strong runs scored totals as a middle infielder in most fantasy formats.

He has two career home runs in 234 major-league games. Adam Dunn, he is not, but Tejada's .319/.364/.391 slash makes him useful for NL-only league purposes.

Ruben Tejada (ankle) is back in the Mets' starting lineup Wednesday against the Nationals. Tejada sat out Tuesday's game after being spiked in the right ankle on Monday. It shouldn't be a concern moving forward.

There's not enough speed or power here to make Tejada much of an asset as a fantasy shortstop, but with his average up to .318, he's certainly been a nice player for the Mets thus far.
