Ross Ohlendorf will start Sunday against the Reds in place of the injured Andrew Cashner (lat). He's really the only option the Padres have. Ohlendorf holds an ugly 7.31 ERA and 2.13 WHIP over five appearances -- two starts -- this season and should be avoided for fantasy purposes.

While he isn't the most dominating pitcher in the league, as long as he's pitching at PetCo he should have mixed league value and makes for a decent spot play when he takes on the Mariners at home on Friday.

The Padres are likely to put Ross Ohlendorf in the rotation until Andrew Cashner is sufficiently stretched out in the minors. Ohlendorf relieved Cashner Saturday, allowing just one run over 4 1/3 innings to pick up the win. He posted a 4.61 ERA over 10 starts with Triple-A Pawtucket in the Red Sox organization this season.
