Gsellman (2-3) allowed six runs -- five earned -- on nine hits and three walks while striking out four batters over four innings during Saturday's loss to Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
With at least three runs allowed in every start this season and underwhelming 6.8 K/9, Gsellman hasn't struggled in his second tour through the National League. Last season, he posted a 2.42 ERA through seven starts, but 2017 has been a struggle. It's also worth nothing that his first six starts of the year were all against Atlanta, Philadelphia and Miami, which isn't a who's who of high-end offenses. A home start with the Angels is on deck next week for Gsellman.

Gsellman (2-2) allowed three runs on eight hits while striking out just two batters over five innings during Saturday's win over Miami.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets posted five runs in the bottom of the first inning, so Gsellman was handed an easy avenue to picking up the win. He's been underwhelming this season with a 6.75 ERA and 1.63 WHIP while allowing a .310/.372/.512 slash line to opposing hitters over his six starts. A road date against Milwaukee is up next for Gsellman, which doesn't project as the easiest matchup with the Brewers sporting a respectable .328 wOBA at Miller Park.

Gsellman allowed five runs on six hits (one home run) while walking one and striking out none over five innings for a no-decision in Monday's 7-5 win over the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
It's not a good sign when Gsellman has allowed 10 runs and 16 hits in his last two starts against Atlanta -- a light-hitting squad. He now owns a 6.75 ERA and 7.43 K/9, both uninspiring figures in his five starts. However, an inflated .352 BABIP means his luck will likely level out eventually. Regardless, Gsellman is more of a streamer in deep mixed and NL-only setups.

Gsellman (0-2) gave up six runs (five earned) on 10 hits over four innings in Wednesday's loss to Atlanta. He struck out two and walked three.
EDGE Analysis
A popular preseason sleeper of sorts, Gsellman has managed just one quality start in four tries to open the season, although he does still own a solid 22:9 K:BB over 21.2 innings. His FIP and xFIP still look good at 3.63 and 3.32, respectively, so Gsellman's 6.23 ERA shouldn't have fantasy owners running to drop him. His luck will level out.

Gsellman will start Wednesday's game against the Braves, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets had previously planned to skip Gsellman's start after Tuesday's contest was rained out, but reversed course to push Noah Syndergaard's next start to Thursday. It's good news for owners who started the righty in weekly formats, especially considering his last outing, when he allowed three runs over seven innings in a win against the Phillies.

Gsellman will be available out of the bullpen during this week's series against the Braves, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tuesday's postponement will cost Gsellman a start, as manager Terry Collins has opted to keep Noah Syndergaard and Matt Harvey on schedule for Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. It's a tough break, but those who started Gsellman in weekly formats should still get one start out of him this week, Sunday against the Brewers in Milwaukee.

Gsellman gave up three runs on six hits over seven innings against the Phillies on Wednesday, striking out seven and walking one. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
He actually left with a 3-2 lead, but reliever Jerry Blevins let a runner Gsellman left on base come around to score. The Mets ultimately won anyway, and Gsellman's fantasy owners should feel good about this effort after his rocky start to the season. Don't mistake him for the next Jacob deGrom, but Gsellman should at least be a decent contributor as long as he can hold onto a spot in the Mets' rotation.

Gsellman (0-1) was tagged for eight runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings but was able to escape with a no-decision in Wednesday's extra-inning win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old served up a grand slam to Marcell Ozuna in the first inning but then watched as the Mets' offense clawed back and handed him a lead, only for Gsellman to walk Christian Yelich with the bases loaded as part of a four-run fifth that ended his night. Through his first 10.2 innings this season Gsellman does have 13 strikeouts, but too many walks and untimely homers has left him with a 9.28 ERA and 1.69 WHIP. He'll try to get things straightened out Wednesday at home against the Phillies.

Gsellman (0-1) came out on the short end in his season debut Saturday, giving up three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven in five innings against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
A popular preseason sleeper after he posted a 2.42 ERA and 42:15 K:BB over 44.2 innings last year, Gsellman suffered through some tough luck in this one, but it's also worth noting his tragic numbers in Triple-A before his call-up -- a 5.73 ERA and 1.49 WHIP. He also wasn't traditionally a prolific whiff artist in the minors. Of course, he's also young at 23 and a hard thrower, so it's not that tough to believe that Gsellman simply learned to control his raw stuff better upon arriving in the majors. Development happens, after all. However, with Steven Matz (elbow) targeting a May return, Gsellman will need to perform well to ensure that he retains a rotation spot. His next outing is scheduled for Thursday on the road against these same Marlins.

Gsellman was officially named the Mets' fifth starter Thursday, but won't start until the sixth game of the season on April 9, the New York Post's Mike Puma reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will face the Marlins at home in the sixth game because the schedule allows Noah Syndergaard to start the first and fifth games of the season. Zack Wheeler was named the No. 4 starter in a somewhat surprising move that has more to do with seniority and pedigree than on-field results. Steven Matz (elbow) has been shut down for three weeks, and is unlikely to return until at least late April, at which time the Mets will need to decide which back-end starter to boot from the rotation. Given the injury histories in the rotation, Gsellman is still a solid bet to return value in most mixed leagues, even if he heads to Triple-A for a brief stint at some point.
