Davis (groin) was removed from Friday's game against the Orioles after hitting a single in the fourth inning.
Davis has been dealing with a groin injury since the last weekend of the regular season, but he was able to tough it out in the first game of the series. After reaching on a single, he appeared to have aggravated the injury, and was replaced by Ezequiel Carrera.

Davis was pinch hit for late in Thursday's game, but expects to be fine Friday, Chris Iott of MLive.com reports
Davis' groin injury reportedly bothered him more as the temperature cooled, and was pinch hit for when the game was largely out of hand in the ninth inning. While he is considered day-to-day, he should be good to go Friday.

Davis (groin) is in the lineup for Game 1 of the NLDS against the Orioles on Thursday.
A groin ailment threatened to keep Davis off the ALDS roster entirely, but not only is he active, he'll start in center and bat ninth against right-hander Chris Tillman in Game 1. Ezequiel Carrera and Don Kelly will both be available should Davis' injury present issues.

Davis is on the Tigers' ALDS roster, which was released Thursday, the Oakland Press reports.
Davis' status heading into the initial series against the Orioles was up in the air as of Wednesday night, but manager Brad Ausmus made the call to include the outfielder, who has been dealing with a strained groin for more than a week. Whether or not Davis will play in the series remains to be seen, but his presence on the roster indicates there's a possibility he'll be healthy enough to contribute at some point.

Davis (groin) reported improvement Wednesday, but a decision on his roster status for the ALDS still has not been made, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Manager Brad Ausmus has until 10 a.m. ET Thursday to submit his roster for the series, and it sounds like a decision on Davis will come right down to the wire. The skipper said Tuesday that Davis could be a full-go, day-to-day or even left off the roster entirely, and added Wednesday that Davis still needs to do more baseball work to convince the training and coaching staffs of his health.

Davis (groin) remains uncertain for the ALDS, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
While Davis said Sunday he believed he could return for Game 1 on Thursday, manager Brad Ausmus remains non-committal in regard to the outfielder's status. Ausmus said Davis could be a full-go, he could be day-to-day, or he could be left off the roster entirely. If Davis is limited in any way, look for Ezequiel Carrera and Don Kelly to be the top options in center.

Davis believes he could return to the Tigers lineup by Game 1 of the ALDS, the Oakland Press' Matthew Mowery reports.
Davis was never going to come back in time for a last regular season game, but he received "the best prognosis" a player in his situation can receive after he hurt himself running to first base. If he does come back, he's the Tigers starting center fielder, so he should make the playoff roster with this prognosis. However, injury near the pelvis could be problematic for a player as speed-based as Davis.

Davis (groin) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Davis will be held out in favor of Ezequiel Carrera after exiting Saturday's game with the groin injury. The extent of his injury is uncertain, so it remains to be seen if it will cost him any postseason action.

Davis left Saturday's game with a Grade 1 pubic symphysis strain and will be reevaluated prior to Sunday's regular season finale, Matthew B. Mowery of the Oakland Press reports.
It's basically a groin injury, and it doesn't sound promising that he'll be able to play again before the start of the postseason. Monitor his status prior to Sunday's game, but in leagues that allow daily moves, it would probably be best to look for an alternative for the final day of the season.
