Davis (groin) reported improvement Wednesday, but a decision on his roster status for the ALDS still has not been made, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports. Manager Brad Ausmus has until 10 a.m. ET Thursday to submit his roster for the series, and it sounds like a decision on Davis will come right down to the wire. The skipper said Tuesday that Davis could be a full-go, day-to-day or even left off the roster entirely, and added Wednesday that Davis still needs to do more baseball work to convince the training and coaching staffs of his health.
