Davis should see plenty of action atop the lineup against southpaws but figures to cede some playing time to Tyler Naquin when the team draws a right-handed starter once everyone is back to full health but he figures to have an increased role in the first week or so given the injury situation to Brantley and Chisenhall. He could be a sneaky option in the first week with Cleveland set to face four lefties.

Davis, who appeared to be ticketed for a platoon role with the Indians, could benefit from Abraham Almonte's 80-game suspension as one of the few players in camp with experience in center field.

Davis and the recently-signed Will Venable would seem like the favorites to get a bump in playing time as a result of Almonte's suspension. Davis' speed upside is of interest to fantasy owners if he can grab a semi-regular role in Almonte's absence so this bears watching as spring unfolds.

At 35 years old, Davis' best days are behind him, but he offers above-average speed and is only two years removed from hitting .282 in 461 at-bats for Detroit in 2014.
