Davis is out of the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the fourth time in the past six games that Davis will be out of the lineup. Abraham Almonte will get the start in left field as the team faces right-hander Michael Pineda. It bears repeating that Davis has been having a good season to this point (.257/.317/.401 with nine home runs, 36 RBI and 52 runs) but it would be wise to watch his playing time over the next couple weeks.

Davis is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Davis will be held out for the third time in the last four games, which is a disturbing trend, given the fact that he is right-handed and could theoretically be headed for the short side of the platoon. He has had an excellent season, so it is too quick to pull the plug in most formats, but keep an eye on his playing time over the next week or two, as the good times could be coming to an end. Abraham Almonte is starting in left field and hitting eighth Wednesday.

Davis is out of the lineup Sunday against the Athletics, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
With manager Terry Francona opting to deploy utility man Jose Ramirez at third base more frequently of late, Davis has received more opportunities to pick up time in the outfield. He had started the previous four games for the Tribe, and should be in position for at least semi-regular starting duties going forward, barring the acquisition of another outfielder prior to Monday's non-waiver trade deadline.

Davis is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Friday's absence will mark Davis' fourth in the team's last six games. The 35-year-old ranks second in the American League in stolen bases with 24 and he's already set a career high with nine home runs, but Tyler Naquin's emergence may lead to more days off for the veteran down the stretch.

Davis is out of the lineup Sunday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Davis is sitting out for the second time in three games this series, and it only looks as though his playing time will begin to grow more scarce from here. With Tyler Naquin and Lonnie Chisenhall both owning on-base percentages over .340 for the season and star outfielder Michael Brantley (shoulder) closing in on a return from the DL, Davis may have to settle for only a couple starts per week.R

Davis is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Tigers, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis will take a seat after starting seven straight games for manager Terry Francona, giving way to Jose Ramirez in left field. The 35-year-old is just starting to head up again heading into the Midsummer Classic, as he owns a 1.142 OPS over that seven-game stretch.

Davis hit for the cycle despite the Indians seeing their 14-game winning streak snapped Saturday, going 4-for-5 with a two RBI, two runs and a stolen base.
EDGE Analysis
It was a banner afternoon that ironically came on a day when the Indians' memorable streak came to an end. Davis became only the eighth player in franchise history to hit for the cycle, leading off the game with a homer, and then tripling, doubling and singling in subsequent at-bats. The 35-year-old now has three multi-hit outings over his last four, going 8-for-19 with three doubles, two homers and three RBI over that span.

Davis went 2-for-4 with a home run and scored twice in Thursday's 4-1 victory over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
After hitting his eighth homer of the season, the center fielder added his 13th double of the year in the ninth inning. Davis put the cherry on top of June with Thursday's performance. He finished the month with a .313 average, raising his season's average to .271, its highest mark since May 5. The 11th-year veteran is rolling right now, and owners shouldn't miss this opportunity to slot him into the lineup.

Davis isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Davis will sit in favor of left-handed hitter Tyler Naquin facing righty-starter Matt Wisler. Naquin, a rookie, has been hitting well against right-handed pitching, slashing .324/.372/.590 over 105 at-bats in 2016. Davis could lose more playing time against right-handed starters if Naquin continues his tear against them.

Davis is out of the lineup Sunday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Davis started in the first two games of the series with his former team, going 3-for-8 with an RBI. The 35-year-old isn't in a hard platoon, but he'll still be asked to sit a few times a week with rookie Tyler Naquin proving himself as an equally capable option in the outfield.
