Davis is out of the lineup Sunday against the Twins, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
EDGE Analysis
After going 0-for-18 with four strikeouts over the previous four games to drop his batting average 46 points, Davis will mercifully receive the day off to clear his head. Tyler Naquin will cover center field in Davis's stead, and could be in line for more at-bats if Davis is unable to get out of his slump upon returning to action.

Davis isn't in the lineup Sunday against the Royals, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis will sit out after starting the last three games, paving the way for Lonnie Chisenhall to make a rare start in center field. Even in his age-35 season, Davis continues to be productive for the Tribe, as he's posted a .301 on-base percentage while logging eight steals through 24 games this season.

Davis is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies, Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
EDGE Analysis
This makes it three absences (all against right-handed starters) in four games for Davis, who has gone 17-for-61 with two homers and six stolen bases in 18 games so far. Five of his six steals have come when leading off, but Davis' chances atop the order may be limited to when the Indians face a lefty moving forward.

Davis is out of the lineup Sunday against the Tigers, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis will sit for the third time in five games, and could be in line for a reserve role more often than not now that Lonnie Chisenhall (forearm) has returned from the DL and Tyler Naquin has emerged as manager Terry Francona's preferred option in center field. The 35-year-old should still find plenty of at-bats though, as he's off to a strong start to the season with a .269 batting average, two homers, eight RBI, and five stolen bases.

Davis is out of the lineup Friday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Carlos Santana will be making a surprising appearance at the top of the Indians' lineup Friday with Davis getting the day off. Friday marks Davis' second time out of the lineup in the last three days, but it's possible that manager Terry Francona is trying to keep the veteran outfielder fresh after he played in all 10 innings of Thursday's extra innings loss to the Mariners.

Davis is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Davis, who's currently riding a six-game hitting streak, has managed to pull his batting average up more than 100 points (from .118 to .233) during that span. However, he'll get the day off in favor of Tyler Naquin in center field. Davis' ability to play left field and center field, coupled with his ability to steal bases (he's second in the AL with five stolen bases) should keep him in the lineup most days.

Davis got the start in center field Sunday and went 1-for-4, but also struck out twice and lost two fly balls in the sun in a 6-0 loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
He continues to see most of the action in center ahead of rookie Tyler Naquin, but Davis' .225/.279/.375 slash line isn't exactly setting the world on fire. The Indians get a day off Monday, but don't be surprised if Davis starts to lose at-bats going forward, especially with Michael Brantley (shoulder) close to returning from the DL.

Davis is starting in center field and hitting leadoff against the White Sox on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis gets another start, albeit against lefty John Danks, and he already has twice as many at-bats as Tyler Naquin, so he seems like the Indians center fielder to own at the moment. Of course, this situation is likely to remain fluid throughout the season, and Davis could find himself on the short side of a platoon if Naquin's bat heats up.

Davis is out of the lineup Wednesday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis received the start on Opening Day with left-hander David Price pitching for Boston, but he'll head back to the bench with the right-handed Clay Buchholz slated to pitch. Davis is by no means bad against right-handers, but the Indians seem to want Tyler Naquin to be the main center fielder going forward. Naquin will take his spot in center field and bat ninth in his first career start.

Davis will start in center field and hit leadoff Opening Day against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Davis' situation will change a little against right-handed starters, and a lot when Michael Brantley (shoulder) returns, but he will open atop the batting order with the Indians taking on Red Sox lefty David Price on Monday.
