Corbin allowed three runs on five hits and struck out five without walking a batter over seven innings to take a no-decision versus the Padres on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin threw 97 pitches (59 strikes) in his longest outing of the season. This was his fourth quality start, though he hasn't earned a win in any of those appearances and has gone winless over eight consecutive starts. For the season, Corbin has a 5.46 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 60:32 K:BB through 89 innings across 16 starts. The southpaw would be on regular rest to start this weekend versus the Rays, but with Josiah Gray (elbow) potentially returning after a rehab appearance Tuesday, it's unclear if Corbin will remain in the Nationals' rotation moving forward.

Corbin came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Diamondbacks, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty established a season high in strikeouts despite tossing only 53 of 90 pitches for strikes, but Corbin left the mound with the Nats in a 1-0 hole before they took the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth inning. He's given up three earned runs or less in four of his last five starts, and while his 4.23 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 23:11 K:BB through 27.2 innings over that stretch aren't particularly impressive, they represent a big improvement on his season-long numbers. Corbin will look for his first win since May 10 in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week in San Diego.

Corbin did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over 5.1 innings against the Tigers. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin was initially slated to have his spot in the rotation skipped, but with MacKenzie Gore being pushed back a day due to a fingernail issue, Corbin took the ball and pitched well, allowing just the one run while matching a season low with six baserunners allowed. It was the third time this season in 14 starts that Corbin has allowed one or fewer runs. Corbin tentatively remains a member of the rotation for now, but with the impending return of Josiah Gray (elbow), who has a rehab start scheduled for tomorrow, and the eventual return of Trevor Williams (right flexor strain), Corbin's time in the rotation could be drawing to an end.

Corbin will make his next start Thursday in Detroit, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nationals had planned to skip Corbin's turn in the rotation, but with MacKenzie Gore's (fingernail) getting pushed back a day in the pitching schedule, Corbin will step in to take the ball Thursday. The left-hander has had another disastrous season, posting a 6.15 ERA and 44:27 K:BB over 71.2 innings covering 13 starts.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Sunday that Corbin's next turn through the rotation will be skipped, which lines up the left-hander to next take the mound Saturday against the Marlins, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old's regular turn through the rotation lines up for Tuesday in Detroit, but Washington will instead take advantage of Monday's team off day to move him to the back of the rotation. Corbin now lines up to make his next start on nine days rest, which comes on the heels of a four-start stretch in which he has a 7.22 ERA and 15:9 K:BB over 23.2 innings.

Corbin (1-7) took the loss Wednesday, surrendering six runs on seven hits -- including three home runs -- and a walk over 5.1 innings as the Nationals were routed 9-1 by the Mets. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Luis Torrens took him deep twice while Francisco Lindor also belted a homer off Corbin, and two of the other hits off him also went for extra bases. The 34-year-old lefty offers nothing but length at this stage of his career -- Corbin's lasted at least five innings in seven straight starts, but he has a 5.63 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 22:14 K:BB through 40 frames to show for it. He lines up to make his next trip to the mound early next week in Detroit.

Corbin (1-6) yielded two runs on six hits and three walks over six innings Friday, striking out five and taking a loss against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin coughed up a pair of runs in the third inning but otherwise worked around danger to deliver a quality start. It was his second straight quality start and third in 12 appearances this season. The veteran southpaw forced 13 swinging strikes, marking a new season best and his first time hitting double digits in that category since April 28. Corbin will carry a 5.83 ERA into his next outing, which is lined up for next week at home against the Mets.

Corbin pitched six innings Sunday against Seattle, yielding three earned runs on four hits and two walks. He struck out four and did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin managed to log his second quality start of the season Sunday, rebounding from his previous outing where he allowed eight earned runs. Even in tonight's quality start, Corbin allowed two home runs and has now allowed five home runs in his last two starts. Corbin (1-5) has been wildly inconsistent all season, posting a 6.12 ERA and 1.69 WHIP across 60.1 innings. His next start is tentatively scheduled for next weekend in Cleveland.

Corbin is listed as the Nationals' probable pitcher for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin's next start will come five days after he allowed eight runs against the Twins on Tuesday, pushing Mitchell Parker to Monday in order to give the young southpaw an extra day of rest. Corbin has been erratic this season, yielding five or more runs four times but surrendering fewer than three runs on three occasions. He owns a 6.29 ERA overall.

Corbin (1-5) took the loss Tuesday as the Nationals were routed 10-0 by the Twins, surrendering eight runs on nine hits -- including three home runs -- and three walks over six innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Minnesota hung two runs on the veteran southpaw in four separate innings, and Corbin was taken deep twice by Byron Buxton and once by Jose Miranda while also serving up extra-base hits to Carlos Santana and Carlos Correa. It's the first time since March 30 that Corbin has been tagged for multiple homers, but he wasn't having much success when keeping the ball in the park, either. He'll carry a 6.29 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 32:21 K:BB through 54.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come early next week in Atlanta.
