Corbin (3-12) earned the win Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over six innings against the Rockies. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin tossed 95 pitches in holding the Rockies to just one run, compliments of a sixth-inning solo blast by Brenton Doyle. It marks just the second time this season Corbin has allowed one run while completing at least six innings. The outing lowered Corbin's ERA to 5.73 with a 1.54 WHIP and 107 strikeouts over 141.1 innings spanning 26 starts. He's next slated to take the hill in a home matchup with the Yankees early next week.

Corbin came away with a no-decision in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Phillies, giving up two runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran left-hander remains stuck on 99 career wins, but Corbin wasn't efficient enough to have gotten No. 100 on Friday even if he had gotten some support from the Washington offense. The Phillies put runners in scoring position in four of the five frames Corbin worked but only broke through in the third, and he left the mound after 96 pitches (58 strikes) with the Nats down 2-0. Corbin has gone five straight starts without a win, stumbling to an 8.51 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 20:9 K:BB through 24.1 innings over that stretch. He'll look for that elusive 100th victory in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Rockies.

Corbin came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Angels, giving up four runs on eight hits and three walks over four-plus innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old lefty remains arguably the worst regular starter in MLB. Corbin has a rough 7.25 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 32:10 K:BB through seven starts and 36 innings since the beginning of July, and his 5.98 ERA on the season is the highest in the majors among qualified pitchers. Should Cade Cavalli (elbow) make it back before the end of the season, it'll likely be Corbin who gets bumped from the rotation to make room for him, but until then the Nationals don't seem to have any better options. Corbin lines up to make his next trip to the mound on the road next weekend in Philadelphia.

Corbin (2-12) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings against the Giants. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Things went awry for the veteran southpaw out the gate, as he allowed a leadoff 416-foot homer to Tyler Fitzgerald. Corbin allowed another homer of the three-run variety to Matt Chapman in the third inning, cementing his 12th loss, tying him for the most in the league. It's been another rough season for the 35-year-old, as he now sports a 5.88 ERA and 1.52 WHIP across 127 innings on the year. Corbin is currently scheduled to face the Angels at home in his next start this weekend.

Corbin (2-11) took the loss Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, allowing 11 runs (10 earned) on 13 hits while striking out three over three innings.
EDGE Analysis
As Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com notes, Corbin's 11 runs allowed in a single outing are the most in franchise history. Corbin only gave up one home run, which came in the opening frame on a two-run blast by Eugenio Suarez. The Diamondbacks would go on to mount on seven more runs in the second and another four in the third before Corbin's night was all said and done. Arizona had 13 hits in its first 19 at-bats against Corbin. The veteran southpaw had come into Tuesday having posted back-to-back quality outings. Now, Corbin will take a 5.88 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 89:39 K:BB in 121 innings into a projected meeting with the Giants to begin next week.

Corbin (2-10) took the loss against San Diego on Thursday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out seven batters over seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin completed seven frames for just the second time this season and tied a campaign-high with seven punchouts, but he had the misfortune of being the opposing starter in Dylan Cease's first career no-hitter. In spite of that, Corbin continued a solid beginning to the second half of the season, as he's yielded four runs and posted a 13:3 K:BB over 13 innings across two post-break starts. His next start is tentatively lined up to come next week in Arizona.

Corbin (2-9) earned the win Friday over the Reds, allowing one run on three hits while striking out six over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin was sharp Friday, holding Cincinnati to a lone third-inning run en route to his first win since May 10. The 35-year-old southpaw had struggled in four starts prior to the All-Star break, allowing 14 runs over 23 innings. Overall, Corbin sports a 5.35 ERA with a 1.49 WHIP and 79:36 K:BB through 20 starts (111 innings) this season. He's currently lined up for a home matchup with San Diego next week in his next outing.

Corbin (1-9) took the loss against the Mets on Wednesday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five batters over five-plus innings.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin gave up a solo homer in the first inning but then cruised for the next four frames and had a 2-1 lead entering the sixth. However, the veteran lefty gave up three straight hits -- including an RBI double -- to begin that inning, and the two runners he left on base when he departed later came around to score. That clinched another loss for Corbin, who is now 0-6 since his most recent -- and still only -- win of the campaign, which occurred May 10 in Boston. Corbin's 5.57 ERA on the season is far from appealing, but he's at least given Washington some length, ranking second on the team with 105.0 IP and averaging 5.2 frames per start.

Corbin did not factor into the decision in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Cardinals, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin opened with three scoreless innings but allowed three runs over the fourth and fifth frames before departing with a 5-3 lead. The southpaw generated only five swinging strikes on 91 pitches but has now completed at least five innings in 12 consecutive outings. Despite the solid volume this season, the 34-year-old owns a 5.49 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 68:35 K:BB over 100 innings. He lines up for a road matchup with the Mets next week.

Corbin (1-8) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk over six innings against the Rays. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin got bitten by the home-run bug in the second inning, giving up two blasts that allowed three runs to cross the plate. Otherwise, a fourth-inning sac fly was the only other damage to his line. It was the first time in four games Corbin had allowed a long ball, and he's had 10 games this season in which he's not allowed a ball to leave the yard. However, over the other seven instances, including Sunday, he's allowed multiple homers on five occasions. Corbin currently carries a season ERA of 5.49, but even including this start, his ERA has been a solid 3.47 over his last four starts spanning 23.1 innings. Corbin's next outing is slated to take place at home next weekend when the Cardinals visit the nation's capital to take on the Nationals.
