After issuing four free passes Monday, he's up to 17 walks in 28 innings this month. The 30-year-old southpaw owns a 230:68 K:BB for the season. Corbin will make his final regular-season start of 2019 at home against Cleveland on Saturday.

Corbin isn't listed among the Nationals' probable starters for the team's three-game series in Miami over the weekend, Byron Kerr of MASN Sports reports.

Since Corbin had pitched in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Cardinals, the Nationals could have brought him back Sunday on his normal four days' rest, but No. 5 starter Austin Voth will instead get the nod for the series finale with the Marlins. The extra day off should help Corbin recover from Tuesday's 110-pitch outing while also allowing the Nationals to deploy the southpaw against a direct competitor in the NL wild-card race instead of the last-place Marlins. Corbin (12-7) got the win against the Twins on Thursday, giving up three earned runs on nine hits over six innings, striking out three, and walking none as the Nationals prevailed 12-6.

Corbin kept on rolling against Minnesota, tossing his seventh quality start in his last eight outings and nabbing his 12th win of the season. He's having a stellar campaign for the Nationals, posting a 3.20 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 213:60 K:BB across 185.2 innings. The left-hander will look to keep it going in his next start, which will come on the road against the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Corbin (11-7) took the loss Friday, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits and six walks over five innings while striking out nine as the Nationals fell 4-3 to Atlanta.

Corbin will look to get back into the win column Thursday in Minnesota.

Corbin had a historic day on the mound as he became the third pitcher on the Nationals' staff to record 200 strikeouts during the 2019 season. He had a particularly good day overall as he worked four shutout innings before running into some trouble in the fifth, where he gave up all three of his runs on a Starlin Castro solo home run, an Austin Dean RBI double, and a Bryan Holaday RBI sacrifice fly. He then went on to pitch a scoreless sixth and was done for the day after 95 pitches. The southpaw now owns a 3.19 ERA to go along with a 201:54 K:BB ratio across 174.2 innings in 2019. He slated to start next against the Braves in Atlanta on Friday.

Corbin looked on track to make only one start (Tuesday against the Orioles) this week, but he'll now get a two step after manager Dave Martinez elected to shorten the rotation to four men on account of Thursday's off day. The lefty was unable to come away with a win despite a strong showing versus Baltimore (seven innings of two-run ball), but he'll have a good opportunity to claim his 11th victory when he takes on a 47-85 Marlins squad.

Corbin (10-6) struck out nine while allowing two runs on four hits with zero walks across seven innings while taking a loss against the Orioles on Tuesday.

For the fourth straight start, Corbin yielded two runs or fewer but again he didn't receive a win for his efforts. He has one victory in his past four outings despite posting a 1.67 ERA. Corbin has taken a lot of no-decisions this season, so this was his first loss since June 11. Overall, he owns a 3.15 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 193 strikeouts in 168.2 innings this season. Corbin will face the Mets at home in his next start Sunday.

Corbin (10-5) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up three hits and two walks over eight scoreless innings while striking out four in an 11-1 victory over the Pirates.

The southpaw didn't allow a runner past second base and left the game after 93 pitches (63 strikes), but Tanner Rainey blew the combined shutout in the ninth. Corbin will take a 3.17 ERA and 184:51 K:BB through 161.2 innings into his next start Tuesday, at home against the Orioles.

The four walks hurt his WHIP and the offense didn't support him enough to earn the win, but it was a good night for the ERA and strikeout categories. Corbin has eight strikeouts in three of his last four outings, but that success has been around a lot longer than that. Since June 19, Corbin is 4-0 with a 2.37 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 68.1 innings across 11 outings. Overall, he is 9-5 with a 3.34 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 180 strikeouts in 153.2 innings this season. Corbin is scheduled to pitch next at the Pirates on Wednesday.
