Corbin (2-3) took the loss Tuesday in Philadelphia after giving up two runs on five hits with two strikeouts and three walks over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
It certainly wasn't the left-hander's best outing, but he was going to have a difficult time avoiding the loss regardless with the offense providing zero run support. Corbin has a 3.79 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 36:11 K:BB through 40.1 innings and will look to get back in the win column Sunday in Atlanta.

Corbin allowed two runs on seven hits (one home run) and two walks while striking out three across six-plus innings Wednesday against the Phillies. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin served up a third-inning solo shot to Rhys Hoskins before running into some more trouble to begin the seventh after Didi Gregorius lined a triple that rolled to the left field wall. Corbin would not face another hitter but was charged with a second run after Gregorius was singled home by the very next batter. The 31-year-old southpaw has four quality starts in six outings but has been inconsistent with his ability to limit hits and record punchouts. He'll try to get into the win column in a rematch against the Phillies on Monday.

Corbin (2-2) allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out nine over 6.1 innings as he was charged with the loss Friday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin was quite effective over his first three starts of the season, but he's now been charged with back-to-back losses. He tallied a season-high nine strikeouts against the Marlins, but a second-inning rally by Miami put Corbin in line for the loss. The southpaw now carries a 3.99 ERA with 31 strikeouts over 29.1 innings this season. He'll attempt to return to the win column at home Wednesday against the Phillies.

Corbin (2-1) took the loss versus the Orioles on Saturday. He gave up five runs on eight hits and a walk and struck out two in five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Saturday's five-inning effort was Corbin's shortest outing of the year. The southpaw's ERA inflated to 3.91 with a 1.17 WHIP and 22:4 K:BB in 23 innings this season. Corbin's been fairly steady in 2020 -- he'll look to get back in the win column Friday versus the Marlins.

Corbin (2-0) picked up the win in Monday's 16-4 rout of the Mets, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw fired five scoreless innings before running into a bit of trouble in the sixth, but by that point the Nats had a 14-0 lead. Corbin needed 87 pitches (54 strikes) to record his second quality start in three outings and reduce his ERA to 2.50. He'll look to keep rolling when he next takes the mound Saturday in Baltimore.

Corbin (1-0) allowed three earned runs on on eight hits and a walk while striking out eight across 5.2 innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin cruised through three innings, walking one and allowing one hit while fanning four. The big blow against him came in the fourth inning when he surrendered a two-run home run to Michael Conforto, though another run crossed the plate in the fifth frame when he allowed three consecutive singles. Though Corbin may not have had his best stuff -- he generated 11 swinging strikes on 102 total pitches -- he held the Mets largely to only base knocks, earned the win and racked up plenty of strikeouts. Corbin is projected to make his next start Monday in a rematch against the Mets.

Corbin is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Mets in Washington, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After their three-game series in Miami this past weekend was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns, the Nationals will return from a four-day break Tuesday. Manager Dave Martinez has opted to use the off days to reorder the pitching schedule, as Corbin and Max Scherzer will take the hill for the two games versus the Mets. The Nationals are only scheduled to play five games this week and may not have Stephen Strasburg (hand) available for any of those contests, so Corbin could be in store for a two-start week if Martinez opts to temporarily shorten the rotation to four men. In that scenario, Austin Voth or Erick Fedde would likely move to the bullpen to clear room for Corbin to start Sunday's series finale with the Orioles.

Corbin allowed one earned run on two hits and no walks while striking out eight across 6.1 innings Sunday against the Yankees. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin retired the first 11 batters he faced -- five via strikeout -- before allowing an infield hit. The only damage against him came in the seventh inning, when Gleyber Torres took him yard. Corbin worked very efficiently, requiring only 75 pitches to retire 19 batters. He'll look to carry this performance into his next start, currently projected for Friday at Miami.

Corbin's goal is to build up to six innings or 100 pitches by Opening Day, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports. "I feel pretty positive that I'll be able to get there," he said.
EDGE Analysis
He threw 43 pitches Saturday and will throw again Monday. In a season in which many pitchers will likely be on pitch counts in their first starts, Corbin would theoretically be as stretched out as just about anyone for his first turn in the rotation. He is expected to start July 26 at home against the Yankees.

Corbin threw a bullpen session Friday, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nats' top three starters (Corbin, Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg) all got in work Friday as the club tries to quickly ramp up before Opening Day later this month. There was no indication of how many pitches Corbin was able to throw, however, so while GM Mike Rizzo described him as being in "full bullpen mode," how close he is to being ready for the regular season is still unclear.
